Then why are we getting rid of him? Makes zero sense.
Obviously my second scenario came true 24 hours later.
Why are we getting rid of him?
Becouse under Malthouse he was still a crap kick but still a very good forward. If i am not mistaken also a 2 time All-Australian.
Under Buckley just the way we have declined under him every year so has he.
Maybe you should ask Nathan?

Tell me exactly what they had, for starters...
jom ruptured a patella tendon. (following on from patella tendonitis when he was younger. he'd had that worked on in London). there's no reference to any other damage.

cooney cracked his patella and sheared off cartilage.

(I'm sure you know that).

so which would you prefer?

Cloke had his career best year under Buckley.

Leverage is overrated. Genuine first rucks are hard to come by and clubs that need them will acquire them as they become available.

Regardless I take offence for you calling him a prick for wanting to play for Collingwood. Thats a disgusting thing to say about a guy who wanted to show loyalty.
You have my sincerest apology.

I would.

I'd ask him last year you said "Cloke is a part of our future plans and any discussion of trading him is wrong" now do you look like an almighty idiot?

Correct 1 year! Which happens to be the last year of his contract! He was consistently playing good football for Malthouse for a number of years
I think you need to actually do your homework. Cloke's final year of his contract was decent but not great. His 2013, the first year of his new contract was career best.

What? Maybe you should read your reply? It makes no sence?
When i mean Nathan i meant Nathan Buckley! According to your post you asked Nathan Buckley and i said what? Einstein!
I will not fall to your level. You should watch who you call an idiot? No one gets on this forum to get abused. I suppose that shows more then anything the kind of person you are. Calling people idiots behind your key board becouse you wouldnt do it in person.

In that case I'll take the patella fracture thanks. Much better prognosis, Nathan Brown is still playing after having had one.

If you're combining patella fracture and "sheared off cartilage" as one injury, which seems like cheating, then I'd say it depends on the location of the cartilage, but even then worst case scenario is that it's hyaline cartilage and microfracture surgery still has vastly better outcomes than patella tendon repair.

Cooney played out his career despite his injury. These NFL figures are saying patella tendon ruptures instantly end 50% of players careers. The remaining 50% are finished at most four years later. In a sport that does not require kicking.

I was thinking about the key stocks last night in bed like a nerd (not gay, not that there's...and so forth) and I reckon we need to keep Brown if Cloke goes. That gives us the following:

KPD: Reid, Keeffe, Marsh, Frost, Brown and Howe

That's quite a bit on reflection. With Keeffe returning I think we can have Reid, Keeffe and Marsh/Brown as our stalwarts which may allow us to send Howe forward.

I'd like a forward line of:

Elliot - White - Varcoe
Howe - Moore - Fasolo

That's pretty handsome in my view and unbelievable air-power. White has stepped up to the challenge this year and a very handy relief ruck.
I think we should play Varcoe off half back because we need good play users there, cant afford to turn the footy over from half back anymore.

It was supposed to say "Cloke is a part of our future plans and any discussion of trading him is wrong now do you look like an almighty idiot?" Bucks said last year Cloke wasn't going to be traded and was apart of the future of the club. He's an idiot is what I was trying to say.

Even so , he went completely down hill after that.
There is also no disputing he played way better and more consistant under Malthouse.
