Yes I've watched him. I think he lacks speed. He has quick hands but he's a plodder over the grass. You get 184cm, a quick Google search gets me 182cm. Collingwood six footer or just below. Not sure that's enough for a midfielder these days. There are some big boys running around in the centre and the last thing we need is another player (e.g. Blair) who gets knocked off the ball too easily. I suppose you could play him in the forward line but at whose expense?
You are literally the only person I've ever seen refer to Broomhead as slow or a plodder. The kid is fast. Watch harder.

did brown do as much damage as cooney when he fell over in Arizona?

on a different not but relevant to the discussion, are ACL repairs still using patella tendon?
I have no idea, I'm not his physiotherapist.

Yes, the middle 1/3 of the patella tendon is the second most commonly used graft, after semitendinosis/gracilis.

do the stats from the NFL state the players finished due to the patella injury or they just finished within 4 years following a patella injury?
The latter. Have a look, it's quite illustrative.

Personally I'd trade Broomhead; four years on the fringe is probably enough. Time to cut our losses and move him on to a club he might get a gig at (Power). If we could get a 3rd rounder for him, that covers one of Daicos/Brown and I'd absolutely do a straight swap there.

Had a look and a quick chat with the Port board.
They're gutted Butcher has been delisted and think he's hard done by due to lack of development, (by Hinkley I think).
Apparently his field kicking is ok, been tried at CHB although he's a natural forward and better suited there.
He has hands that don't need gloves.
I say we get him at CHF and play the lead up role.

If you're not sold on him as a player, we should pick him up just to keep the name John alive in the AFL, (none left at the moment).

Tom Boyd and 200K a year for Cloke, 2nd rounder & ???

Bulldogs get Cloke for two years whilst their window is open, and free up bulk cap space and limit the damage of their mistake

We get a very decent key forward to replace Cloke for the long term.
