well i saw ant22 post it about a week or so ago. Now he says that wasnt the case. I dunno. I'm confused now...
LOL. That went from Marsh has walked out because he hates Bucks and the culture at the club. I think a thread was created about it. It then became, Marsh is taking some time away from the club because he's very homesick. He has no friends in Melbourne outside of the footy club. Had the balls to tell the entire playing group and ended up in tears. Would he have had the balls to do that without Leading Teams, which encouraged players to talk about this type of stuff. LT has now been canned, maybe because it's done it's job.

Terry Wallace rates Rockliff worth pick 23. Can't say I disagree with El Tano on this one. Massively overrated. Stat rat who works really hard.

Imagine if we paid $800k p.a. for him and then Fyfe becomes a FA next year but we've blown our load. For big money and/or high draft pick cost, let's get an elite talent that we need. Trade for need.

Scott Watters also suggested it'd be a poor list management decision. Not sure a slow inside mid is a need.
Question to you is this: If Rocky wants to come to Collingwood and you know you can get him to you put it to the side on the hope of getting Fyfe next year with very little guarantee this far out??

Expect Goldy is popular with the team because he is a happy bloke but his production is too low.

Howe is a massive upgrade in the backline and Mayne will exceed his value as a forward.

He would be more valuable to Port than Crows.
And now all his mates from "The Beaks" have gone there's nothing to keep him here.

I'm really not that worked up? it's not like i'm sitting here throwing my keyboard at a monitor.

When you understand that these are just words on a screen and it's the first time i've really mentioned Barrett you'll get less worked up about every comment that's made related to ol mate Purple.
FU Barrett, you filthy bottom feeder.
Fair enough, all the best :thumbsu:

Is there any other teams?
If Gubby didn't mention Aish(I hope he didn't), he should sue scum-BARRET.
Brett Anderson and Huddo were talking about the Aish/De Goey trade rumours earlier on SEN and they were making assumptions that maybe it was linked into Hurley discussions a month or so ago when he (Hurley) was still making up his mind on what he was going to do.

To get Hurley the type of players we would have had to have given up would have been of that ilk.

I thought that you said that he walked out .... that you knew someone in the club and they had told you that he had walked out....

Incorrect. Another poster said he walked out and had info from a club doctor. I simply responded that I was told about a month ealier that he was unhappy and did not have the best relationship with bucks. I made it clear that this did not mean he was leaving.

Both for a future second rounder?
relevant part of the post quoted below. Mentions 2nd round pick which could easily be this or next year (especially when a deal hasn't been done it could have subtle changes.)

Will try to get WHE to the club via a 3 way trade and help Carlton get Marchebank as well, however...... GWS want the Stewart trade involved, Apparently GWS will do all 3 players for Carlton pick 5 and a second round pick, problem is both us and Carlton want Stewart as well for what we are giving up so watch that space!!!!!!

Okay Mr.Know It All.

Please show me why not
Firstly, those two reasons you gave are terrible. Where two player were drafted 5 years ago is completely irrelevant. It's like saying Toumpas is rated higher than Grundy because he was top 3 and Grundy was pick 18. Draft number is irrelevant, it's what a player does after they're drafted that counts. And salary? Really? Based on that logic we should be getting an amazing deal for Cloke!

I'll just leave this here, and maybe you can try and come up with some good reasons why WHE is rated higher than Seeds:

Lastly, if somebody disagrees with you, don't resort to name calling. I was sorely tempted to give you a blast in this post, but I've refrained from doing so. If you post a statement like you did with nothing to support your opinion, don't get angry if people tell you it's rubbish. Back it up with facts like I just did, otherwise the only person being a know it all is you.

No. I don't rate Rockliff as much as others. Prefer to get an elite talent for $700/$800k p.a. You have a crack next year on whatever elite talent may be available whether it's Fyfe or some else.

If it was me, part of the interview to see if we want him would include a possible pay cut (from what he is on at the Lions) to play in a more successful team. If he doesn't come to the party at dropping say $100k to $200k to be part of CFC (with his off field issues) than I don't think he's the guy for us. Geelong model of 'fit into our cap' for team success worked for them and must have been working for Hawks (but Vickery + JOM + T Mitch suggests they might be deviating).

At Least Anderson and Maher said where they said they heard it.

Where Damo goes with it even after Club said NO CHANCE IN HELL of it Happening.

Still would not Trade Aish in a Hurley Trade

The blast would have been deserved and I honestly reckon you wasted your time with all your facts because they will be pushed aside to call you 'Grumpy Bum' or something similar.

You are having a crack at the only person that has got anything right so far and that includes your journo mates. The idea that we need to understand the role of a journo is laughable. I am not interested in being groomed to accept a poor level of journalism. How about just present the truth or at least say 'I don't know if this is true but do you think this would work.'

Barrett's attempt to claim the Mitchell trade story as his exclusive was embarrassing and really a reflection of the ego these guys have. Maybe instead of us understanding what journalism is about they understand it is not about them.

It is what happens when an industry has a conflict between regulating itself and needing the story to make money via click bait and sales. It is what happens when its own lawyers are looking at what the journo can get away with rather than what is appropriate via the facts of the story.
