Last I was told was Marsh is happy and my source in relation to him is good.

My source is also pretty strong and I have no reason not to believe him but having said that I think it is fairly pointless having any further discussion on Marsh unless something becomes official. It was done to death on the other thread and just caused people to talk to each other like crap. We will know by the end of the trade period if he wants to leave.

Is there any other teams?
Didn't Barrett say we were looking at Brent Harvey? There was not one iota of truth to it, completely fabricated from his own head.
It's ridiculous. He's either getting some really bad mail, someone's trolling him or he's making stuff up. When is this guy going to be accountable for his false reporting?

At Least Anderson and Maher said where they said they heard it.

Where Damo goes with it even after Club said NO CHANCE IN HELL of it Happening.

Still would not Trade Aish in a Hurley Trade
I'd trade James Aish in about 8 seconds if it meant getting Michael Hurley.

But its not a possibility, so onwards and upwards for James at the Collingwood Football Club.

Firstly, those two reasons you gave are terrible. Where two player were drafted 5 years ago is completely irrelevant. It's like saying Toumpas is rated higher than Grundy because he was top 3 and Grundy was pick 18. Draft number is irrelevant, it's what a player does after they're drafted that counts. And salary? Really? Based on that logic we should be getting an amazing deal for Cloke!

I'll just leave this here, and maybe you can try and come up with some good reasons why WHE is rated higher than Seeds:
http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/...ayerStatus2=A&tid2=25&pid2=3642&fid2=C&type=A

Lastly, if somebody disagrees with you, don't resort to name calling. I was sorely tempted to give you a blast in this post, but I've refrained from doing so. If you post a statement like you did with nothing to support your opinion, don't get angry if people tell you it's rubbish. Back it up with facts like I just did, otherwise the only person being a know it all is you.

I'll give you plenty!!

- WHE weighs less and would therefore cost us less at lunch.
- He's also shorter which means we'd save on material for his uniform.

- From a star sign perspective, WHE is "Precise. Professional. Reserved. and fun!" whereas Paul is "often bold, non-conforming, and sometimes shocking". I think we'd have to agree the WHE has it.

Really, the only down side with WHE is that he has two first names.

I reckon with Gibbs gone Rockliff might find himself at Carlton next season. Based on nothing but gut feel./
Perspective on Rockliff:

If he arrives at Collingwood, top recruit misunderstood and good fellow.
Is he Arrives at Carlton, then that's where flogs congregate.

It's all a matter of perspective ;)

Barrett had two smarter plays:
  1. Not address Aish or Greenwood whatsoever, just don't raise it, or
  2. Raise it but through a lens that Hine has suggested differently, so that's the landscape, whether it's a change of tune, or a market correction, either way its some clarity out of the club which is a good thing for content, a good thing for the audience to hear.
Not go with the moreorless "well I heard it so I'm sticking to my guns despite whatever Hine said".

It's either petty or unintelligent.

Terry Wallace rates Rockliff worth pick 23. Can't say I disagree with El Tano on this one. Massively overrated. Stat rat who works really hard.

Imagine if we paid $800k p.a. for him and then Fyfe becomes a FA next year but we've blown our load. For big money and/or high draft pick cost, let's get an elite talent that we need. Trade for need.

Scott Watters also suggested it'd be a poor list management decision. Not sure a slow inside mid is a need.
El Tano? Now that is gold! Or should I say golden brown.

I thought that you said that he walked out .... that you knew someone in the club and they had told you that he had walked out....
Im not sure how true but heard marsh has walked out but not to anywhere else.
Case of depression. They are trying to get him back.
Only what i have been told.
This is who said he had walked out. Ant22 said Marsh did not get on with Buckley. Hope this clears it up for you?

I think "having too many midfielders" is a bit of a myth in the modern style of footy. You'd be better off having more midfielders who can rest in the forward or back pockets than back pockets who can spend small stints in the midfield.

Midfield players are generally fitter and your better ball users. Sure, some of them may be a little lesser when it comes to defensive abilities or scoreboard impact, but I feel like the interchange cap has probably thrown things further into midfielders' favour.

This is why, despite him allegedly being a complete flog, I wouldn't be mortified about bringing in Rockliff.

Hooray somebody said it. Everyone seems to think the way they line up on paper is the way the game is played. Haven't they watched footy? It's basically 18 blokes chasing the ball around for the whole game.

I'd contemplate getting rid of Greenwood in order to get Rockliff.

And just because Rockliff is on 800k or whatever for 2017 doesn't mean we or another club couldn't take him on say 1.5 mill across 3 years, does it?
I've always wondered why people in general, are so worked about who gets paid what.
The club knows it's cap works through it, no doubt work it better than any of us, know the real numbers etc.
As rule who cares what anyone gets paid unless it would cause grievous harm to the group.
Pay them whatever, get the list you want, bring in as much elite or A grade as you can.
The rest works itself out
