Cory Enright is a triple premiership rebounding backman with smarts he is not KP........lonergan is
Enright would only play a year and then go into coaching the idea was to have some experience in the backline to help the development of the younger players thats all

We dont have the draft picks to get an AA KP BACKMAN............THATS WHY WE HAVE TO GET A DELISTED FREE AGENT OT TRADE BUT WE DONT HAVE THE PICKS
Relax on the caps lock

It seems like every trade involving player(s) is leaked into the media a good day or two before it happens.

Even Ahern was all over Twitter yesterday.

The only surprises are generally pick swaps, for example what the Saints and the Hawks did the other day.

I dunno if this is by design or what the story is, but it always happens.

So I guess if we're magically plucking a good KPD from somewhere, we'll know about it a day or two before any deal comes through.

Although how good would it be if all of a sudden we've got someone good, out of nowhere!

Pick 68 to north for Ahern- what does that make WHE worth?
Probably more than that. As for how much more, I'm not sure. Both high picks, but Ahern has done two knees, won't play in 2017 and who knows what after that.

WHE on the other hand, despite previous injuries, has been playing footy and is ready to go. Played in the NEAFL Grand Final and so on before that.

I'm still hoping we get him for a future third round pick.

With Brown and Frost definitely gone does it mean Marsh will be forced to stay? Certainly rate him higher than the other two going forward.

It's naive to suggest Keefe, Ried and Howe is enough backline depth when Keefe hasn't played for two years, Ried is injury prone and Howe is more of a rebounding defender than a key back.

We definitely need to either keep Marsh or recruit someone else and not Mitch Brown as some have suggested as this defeats the whole purpose of not resigning Nathan

If we landed Trengove, our backs could really keep the spelling police busy!
Trengrove, O'Keffee, Ried, Sharonberg, How, Ramsey...
Pendelbry and Maine could also spend some time down there
Elliot and Fasalo up and running in the forward line would be great. DeGooey spending more time in the guts. More to stay injury free and Varco to continue steamrolling.

I just don't rate Brown nor Frost. I'd rather a slightly undersized guy playing KD, who has good footskills and decision making, then a big KD who has crap decision making and disposal. I think what Frost and Brown offer, can be easily replaced by a state league defender. I.e. depth option. Turnovers in the back half, invariably turn into goals. That's what Brown and Frost did.

I'm happy to draft or trade in a KD but they must have good footskills, IMO. Not sure there's many trade options available to have that.
My view is big KPD are not so easily replaced. Next year if we dont get in any other and especially if Keeffe doesnt come back well we will be very vulnerable. Reid will lose his biggest value as a playmaker and will be the one who has to negate the likes of Jenkins, Lynch, Hawkins, Reiwoldt, Buddy, Lynch , Kennedy, Tippett etc etc. State league players would be mauled in this situation. We lose the benefit of our best kick and intercept mark in our backline.

At first I thought that your post was nonsensical but then you started yelling at me. Now I am totally on board.

Collingwood have inquired about Corr from GWS. GWS don't want to trade him but Pies may offer good deal for him and WHE.
Played 36 games in 4 years.

Emergence of Tomlinson, not sure why he is so important to them.

I've seen a bit of him but never been that impressed.
