Actually pretty happy with picking up Dunn for peanuts.

I feel like I'm going to be the only one though...
I'm with you, Dunn far more mobile and a much better kick than both Brown and Frost, much more suited to the modern game.

People who are say he is no good because he couldn't get a game at dees need to remember Melb knew this season was only a stepping stone and wanted to get games into their young defenders. I can garauntee if they were contenders this year Dunn would be playing. I know a lot of Melb people and all were staggered Dunn wasn't getting a game.

No I'm also keen on Dunn, averaged 4.32 rebound 50s in 2015, putting him 9th in the league.

For reference, Reid averaged 4.41 this year, putting him 8th in the league.

Neither Frost or Brown made the top 100.....

If we plan on playing counter attacking football, he would be a good replacement for those 2.
Also averaged 14 touches and 4 marks this season in limited games. Brown averaged 11. Its hard to measure but looks like an upgrade.

Bernie Vince seems a bit underrated on here he was a quality player for Adelaide then went to Melbourne and has been practically their best mid.

I think Adams is a quality player for us and is around Vinces mark when fully fit.

How anyone on here would not rate vince is beyond me. He has destroyed us over the last couple of years. The guy is very underrated.

They did that to force a trade because they weren't going to get fair value from FA compensation. They didn't do it to retain him, which is what you are suggesting we should have done.
Plus Dangerfield was never officially offered a free agency deal. Adelaide and Geelong agreed to trade without actually going through the rigmarole of the free agency process.

Why are we going after Dunn?

It's so bad that it's laughable.
We lack KPD depth. Dunn is an upgrade kick on brown and frost, that will cost us pick 70+ and probably only 250-300k per year unlike brown.

Pies will also pick up another young KPD to develop. Dunn is the stop gap til said player is ready.
