Mayne, White, Blair, Dunn,Keefe with all these guys in our 22 we are in for whole lot of pain.
Who says they all play in the 22? Can't see Dunn/Keeffe in the same side too often if Reid is fit (crosses all fingers and toes around rabbit feet while knocking on wood).

Possibly a similar story for Mayne/Blair.

Over on the Melbourne board, they seem disappointed to be losing Dunn. None of them saying "good riddance" and some seem genuinely upset about it. The general consensus over there seems to be that he will improve us and the only reason he wasn't getting a regular spot was their youth policy. Now it seems they need to free up some $$$ so happy for him to go to us for greater opportunities. Sounds like an upgrade on Brown and Frost to me.

Not sure on Stewart he seems to have been overlooked many times by the Pies. There must be something there that doesnt compute a few pies supporters i know said they didnt think much of him. Some have stated that he is too slow just a lead up forward much like White is do we want 2 whites at collingwood he is not a big contested mark who can split packs like DARCY OR TRAVIS. Stewart from what i undersatnd is a straight kick though
Some quarters have stated that he is a list clogger and would prefer we clear the decks and get a big strong decent forward in next years draft.........Dawes says hello doubt whether melbourne will offer him another contract another one Bucks was right about.

Can't imagine we'll accept pick 61 for Cloke. May as well have just taken 63. Point differential is only 23.

Still think Cloke and 65 for 43 would make more sense.

Or Cloke for 43, we supply the lube.
When you have a look at what the Hawks got for Lewis - future captain, second in the B&F, we are probably making out well to get anything for Cloke. It really seems to be a buyers market this year. No one is shelling out much for anyone.

I think the biggest issues with McKenzie is that he is contracted and on serious money. I doubt we'd want to bring him in on the dollars he is getting paid
he's one of those players who dont notice. I wasn't aware he was in the frame to be capt @ wce before he got injured.

Doubt if they all will be
At worst one of Dunn/Keefe will play.
Blair looks to be depth

Behind Moore, Fasolo, Elliott, De Goey, Mayne, Varcoe, WHE, White and probably Greenwood (if he stays) in the front half

Pretty clear we have.

Panic recruiting at its worst. Lose regular key backs, replace with fringe part time defender from fellow bottom 8 side. Illogical and counter productive when this year is our supposed great leap forward under the reset that Buckley has overseen.

I'm getting the feeling that things are running off the rails with our football dept if this trade period is anything to go by. Talk about bizarre thinking and what's even more bizarre is the attempts by some here to rationalize these decisions. Lynden Dunn an upgrade on Nathan Brown? Really? What utter garbage.
Nathan Brown is an average defender at best. Dunn is on par defensively and a better kick.

A friend of mine's son plays for Casey and as such I went to a number of Casey home games this year and I can categorically confirm Dunn is an upgrade on N Brown. His kicking can be a weapon, he is much quicker across the ground than Brown and he is a better mark than Brown. All round upgrade if you ask me. If only he was a couple of years younger.

Dunn is insurance, solid but not spectacular, punches above his weight. He is probably a lot more versatile than Brown & Frost. I was actually surprised he is only 29, one of those guys who has looked 30+ since he was 21. Nothing to get too excited about but he fills a need for a few years and on a lot less dollars than Browny was/is on.
