When you have a look at what the Hawks got for Lewis - future captain, second in the B&F, we are probably making out well to get anything for Cloke. It really seems to be a buyers market this year. No one is shelling out much for anyone.
It's funny, every year it's said that Hawthorn are great traders. They sometimes give up overs in order to "always" get their man/men.

But you could just as easily say that they're not good negotiators.

I call it now, we are going to have the worst percentage in 2017. Why retire Toovey to bring in Dunne. Makes no sense. How can we have salary cap problems playing in the bottom half of the ladder?

What else could go wrong from here:
- WHE could go to blues or Roos.
- Cloke stays
- Gubby gets suspension / fine for GWS drug affair and we have no footy boss
- injuries to key players like every year in football.
Lol, please. Tooves was awful this season.

I seem to remember him stitching up Cloke one day....but then again that may have not been much of a recommendation in itself
Yes I was just thinking that, he physically matched Cloke that day and it was surprising, however Clokey's output since maybe takes some shine off that effort.

Can't believe the Dunn hate. Will be excellent for us
Yeah it is not a poor decision and really beggars can't be choosers.

The Treloar trade has had a short term restriction on our ability to trade and hit the draft. (Not saying it was the wrong decision as he is a true gun).

FB: Maynard Dunn Ramsey/Sinclair
HB: Howe Reid Scharenberg/Langdon

All of a sudden our ball use looks a mile better, defensively as long as they cover we shouldn't get over exposed and have Keeffe who may come in for the uber talls 200cm fwds.

Some may say they are selling the farm for O'Meara.

I did find the deal remarkable given they were "desperate" he stay and "disappointed" he left. I keep re reading that deal looking for the missing pick the Dees should have given up.

How good would have a straight Lewis for Cloke swap be. Lewis is a hard edge competitor who will give the young Dees a lot of backbone.

I don't think everyone understands that Dunn is probably the best backman we can pick up cheap. You can't always go and pick up superstars, especially when you don't have the currency. We'll head to the draft with a few selections and hopefully we can pick up some KPP to groom over the next couple of year.

Silvagni, now that's a different kettle of fish. Replace spuds with even bigger spud.

We should also go after Garland so we have 3/6 of the Demons star backline.

Some trivia if we get L Dunn apparently out of all present day players he has played the most games without any finals played.

I assume this deal isnot done yet
Seems he wants to continue that record by joining us.
