A Maher still peddling that Pies have WHE done for a steal ( he said steal several times) but alas, still no word.

Article in the Hun, I think, tonight indicating WHE toured our facilities last Tuesday. I really haven't seen a lot of concrete reporting on WHE though.

OK so don't crucify me for this but.. {sauce} a dude at my local who has a best mate that works in the Tigs coaching box (that much is confirmed) and, he assures me has another friend high up in the Pies coterie group reckons Steele wants to go. If not this trade period then the next.

Caveat/Disclaimer: this guy IS a Richmond supporter and also gave me a shithouse sure thing on the Guineas on the weekend so please factor that in. But he does have connections I've confirmed that much

In saying that I love Rusty and hope it's the BS I assume it is

You seem to be backtracking pretty quickly. You shit canned JDG saying he was worth a late pick and now you're saying you just meant that you would give him up for Rockliff. That's what I took issue with, not the fact that you'd give him up for Rockliff.
Not backtracking... just not being as emotional as some about discussing opinions on an internet forum...

For the last time, i said on his form this season... stop misquoting me. Be accurate when quoting me please... if you want an arguement and to get all emotional on a topic, then do us a favour and call telstra and take it out on them.

Shit canned... i mean come on. Calm down.

You have "taken issue" with my post... when you could have just disagreed with me. I can accept that.

But coming out with shit canned, continuing to quote half my sentence looks like you're trying to pick a fight.

Something i'm not interested in.

Peace.

Solely from a football perspective, Rockliff's stats are the 6th best in the AFL for a mid-fielder over the past 6 years. Not bad for a team that has finished 15th, 13th, 12th, 15th, 17th and 17th in that time. Imagine what he would add to half decent midfield?. Furthermore, Buckley won't put up with his off field crap.

Career Stats:
K: 13.7: M: 4.8; HB: 13.2: CP: 10.7; DE%: 70%; Tk: 5.9; R50: 2.4; I50: 3.0; Clear: 4.4; Centre Cl: 1.5; St: 3.0; Goals: 0.6; GA: 0.5

Add in Wells:
K: 11.9: M: 3.9; HB: 7.6: CP: 6.9; DE%: 75.5%; Tk: 2.7; R50: 1.6; I50: 3.8; Clear: 3.0; Centre Cl: 1.1; St: 1.9; Goals: 0.6; GA: 0.8

Would we look at trading out a Smith and/or Greenwood? (albeit he has 2 years left on his contract at $450K)
If we could get a trade for Greenwood valued around the equivalent of pick 30 I would do it. If Rockliff came in, I think he would be the one squeezed out.
I like him and like his game but weighing up our list and what we might get in a trade, potential to improve etc he is the one for mine.
I guess if someone offered 30 for Smith it would be decent value as well, but don't see that happening (yet). Gold Coast have plenty of salary cap room and Greenwood is pretty much what they're looking for with their multitude of 2nd round picks. Witts, Greenwood and Frost out in a 3-way (Suns, Bears) trade for Rockliff I would go for, for sure.

That's pretty amazing that he racks up 40 every week! Especially since he averaged 29.9 this year! Or could it be that you're exaggerating to suit your pov?

Regardless of that though, my issue is that you seem to be criminally underrating JDG, not that you're pumping up Rockliffs tyres.
So much for Collingwood being considered as a destination club if we get rid of young players after two years.
Makes me laugh, DeGoey is a keeper.

lol wat?

JDG has been statistically almost identical to Heeney this year. Do you reckon Heeney is worth a pick somewhere in the top 50 too?

Jesus Christ, what's this board coming to when a second year midfielder averaging 18 disposals playing out of the forward line is shit canned like De Goey has been...
Fully agree...De Goey is averaging 16 possessions a game playing in starvation corner (HFF). His stats are basically parallel to Heeney's and it was reported earlier this week that when he comes out of contract next year he will command a salary of $900k, whereas there is talk of trading De Goey. I don't understand this...Have a look at the comparison.
Heeney - Career Average (38 games in two years)
K: 8.9: M: 4.7; CM: 0.9; HB: 6.2: CP: 6.5; DE%: 71.6%; Tk: 3.6; R50: 0.6; I50: 2.9; Clear: 1.1; Centre Cl: 0.2; St: 0.9; Goals: 1.1; GA: 0.6
De Goey - Career Average (36 games in two years)
K: 8.6: M: 3.1; CM: 0.3; HB: 7.7: CP: 6.8; DE%: 68%; Tk: 4.1; R50: 0.7; I50: 2.9; Clear: 2.5; Centre Cl: 0.7; St: 1.8; Goals: 0.6; GA: 0.6
