I can see Hawthorn & the Cats picking up a big name without fuss, that's what they do better than us, we get in the news it becomes bigger than big, then we get raped for it!

I don't think so.
Hawks will probably get O'Meara but will have to pay accordingly. Maybe two first rounders or an identical trade to Treloar? We should then trade them Cloke for two second rounders, they'll need to trade someone out to get the currency.

Cats got Dangerfield last year for quite a fuss.

I doubt it. Hawthorn have little cap space according to reports and Geelong have nothing to trade but fringe type players.

Below average - average. Never been his strength, but something he does adequately enough. We've got worse kicks down back - Williams/Marsh/Frost/Toovey etc. He could be considered by foot similar to Langdon - missing some targets but in the most part adequate.
In that case it is a no for me. We don't need more poor kicks out of defense. Even considering that his age bracket, durability and experience could be assets.

Do not want. Has girls hair.
Facetious? Parish is a ripper. I would love him as our seventh defender, bench midfielder. Floating across half back and running through the middle at times. And with the likelihood of being far more than that in the long term. He would address a real list need.

I feel like we need to trade in a promising tall forward at the end of this year. Don't know if Cloke and White will still be on our list and highly doubt Gault will be. I feel like we really lack in that area, definitely a player that will be able to play with Moore for the years to come. There is no wonder we are in this position with tall forwards, apart from drafting Moore (who was pretty much given too us), we have not drafted a key positioned prospect in the first 2 rounds of the draft since 2006 when we drafted Reid (pick 8), Brown (pick 10) and Dawes (pick 28). I feel we need to either get into the draft (not many KP options) or trade for a promising forward.

Allies u18 team had some nice talent in Davis, Hampton and Long all spending time as rebounding defenders.

Hampton in particular looked very good streaming off HB.

You are absolutely spot on, if there is an area I have been personally critical of, it is around trading/drafting of players over the past 5-10 years of young key tall forward types (as stated by yourself Moore was handed to us) and a crumbing forward!! This needs to be addressed and at the forefront of this years recruitment strategy. Moore can't do it alone going into next season and beyond....should throw a decent offer at Kirsten from the cats maybe? But with Daicos & Brown on the offering I can't see Pies trading for players this trade period, more likely will be aiming to improve our draft picks for points.

Melbourne are idiots for picking Clayton Oliver, seriously, a shit club, and the first time they beat us twice in a year this year since 1989 despite all their grad finals on QB'Day exhibits the reality they are a shit club. Essendon have picked now the best midfielder from the 2010, 2013 and 2015, it's alarming for the future.
