How about a Brown Or Daicos?
You where to quick for me, I'd prefer:
Elliot, Moore,Cox
Fasolo, White, Daicos/Brown
Throw in Sidebottom, Broomhead, Aish and we have an extremely accurate forward line.
The problem is the synergy with the mids needs to be improved.

Just checked his bio and he started in 2011....averaging 1.9 Goals a game and was a rookie pick.

I guess if he wins four flags in a row the $ and a new challenge might entice him to leave.
I reckon if they win the flag this year he'll be more likely to stay, at least for another 1-3 years to see if or how far the streak continues.

I reckon a lot of the Hawks' player movement will depend on their flag this year, with players more likely to retire or move on if their streak ends.

Sounds like Brown could Leave as he sounds like he will test Free Agency
Dave he didn't insinuate that at all Dave.......refer below

"This time three years ago when I was out of contract as well, I don't think I signed until the very last minute…so that is still the approach," Brown told AFL Media.

"I just want to focus on doing my role for the team and playing out the season strongly."

 Significantly better mark and a proven accurate kick over many years. Wrights' obvious talent is as a ruckman.

My last on the topic of Peter Wright until next years trade thread when he's out of contract. Happy to take this up again. What Wright thinks he is, is irrelevant. I bet Blair thinks he's an inside mid.

Pre draft comments from Cal Twomey.
Wright hit his straps against South Australia in round four of the championships, dominating in the ruck and around the ground. Recruiters wonder whether he is a ruckman or a forward, but he looks more settled in the centre and roaming around the ground. Wright is an excellent, straight, long kick and is a contender for the No.1 position.

Pre draft listing by Emma Quayle for her Top 100 prospects
Ruckman - Peter Wright

Peter Wright AA Under 18's 2014 Championships - Ruckman

Gold Coast Hit-Out stats for the year
Rd 5 v NM – 21 Currie, 4 Wright, 5 Rosa
Rd 6 v Geel - 34 Currie, 3 Wright, 2 Rosa
Rd 7 v Melb – 32 Currie, 7 Wright, 4 Rosa, 3 Lynch
Rd 9 v Ade – 36 Currie, 5 Wright, 1 Lynch
Rd 10 v WCE – 16 Nicholls, 4 Wright, 4 Hall, 2 Shaw
Rd 11 v Syd – 21 Nicholls, 4 Wright, 4 Lynch
Rd 12 v Rich – 23 Nicholls, 2 Wright, 2 Sexton & 1 4xOthers
Rd 14 v Haw – 27 Nicholls, 5 Wright
Rd 15 v StK – 17 Nicholls, 2 Wright
Rd 16 v Bris – 31 Nicholls, 6 Wright, 3 Day
Rd 17 v WB – 25 Nicholls, 7 Wright, 2 Martin, 1 Hall
Rd 18 v Freo – 24 Nicholls, 4 Wright, 2 Martin
Rd 19 v Melb – 9 Nicholls, 6 Wright, 5 Day, 1 Lynch

Looks like he's playing 3rd tall/back-up ruck to me. If not him, who do you suggest is playing that role with Gold Coast ? Sam Day, the 2nd Tall forward, missed 2 rounds between rounds 9 & 11. Keegan Brooksby came into the team and played 2nd tall forward while Wright continued to play as the 3rd tall/back-up ruck.
I don't get this argument. Because he's playing as a forward who pinch hits through the ruck, he's a ruckman? We may as well say that Leigh Brown or Jesse White are ruckmen if that's the requirement.
Double figure hit-outs in six of his 13 TAC Cup matches last season shows he can get around the ground, yet there is little doubt in Wright’s mind he belongs most up forward.

That’s what they’re developing me as so far. I’m in the forwards group and doing all the forwards stuff alongside Tom Lynch and Charlie Dixon.

Clearly GC believe he's a forward given that that's where they've been developing him from day dot. What Emma Quayle thought he was in his draft year is pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

As for Scodog, the guy has stepped on his dick more than any poster on this board. If it's not stating how great that Brisbane midfield would be following 2014 and the great run, run, run gameplan that Leppo created for that year (2 wins this year and 2nd last, last year), too suggesting Knightmare had better knowledge of draftees than Hine. All due respect Knightmare, but I'm sure you'll concede this one to Hine.

You've posted some decent discussion over the years, don't tie yourself to this joker who's opinion has proven time and time again, to be way off the mark. Too much of a try hard, to convince poster of his great analysis of all things Collingwood, including but not limited too how these guys should do their jobs: CEO, Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, Recruiters, List manager, Football manager, Development coaches, Club doctor and sports science. I'm sure I missed some staff, with the great knowledge he has and has blessed us with.:straining:

If you're looking for a key forward, all eyes will be on young Weid this weekend considering, the pick he was taken with, was part of what we traded to gain Adam Treloar.
Scodog has his own opinions, some of with which I agree with, others which I do not. He is however, generally respectful to others when engaging with them, and doesn't go looking to start personal shit fights with other posters. Let me be perfectly clear that I do not 'tie myself' to specific posters. Don't speak to me like I'm a god damn sheep, I have my own opinions, and those opinions are very rarely influenced by the likes of Scodog, yourself, or any other posters. I couldn't care less if you don't like the guy, but you dragged him in to a conversation he had nothing to do with just to gratuitously sling some shit. Childish in the extreme.

As for Weed. Yes, I would have loved to have drafted him, purely on romance more than anything. I can't really comment on his game though, as I haven't seen him play this year.

Brisbane have offered Witts $700k deal. He's gone
Bring in the draft picks! If that is the case lets break there balls like they did with us with Aish! We gave them all thses second rounders ,ours and Freemans from Stkilda also if i am not mistaken we gave away the seedsman pick also ,we had to swap all these draft picks with Nth Melbourne to accomodate the lions deal with them. For that ex-roo on baller that plays for the Lions know.
What should they give us for wiits? They wont give away pick 2 this year , if they somehow do we take it and run for the hills.
Otherwise maybe a future first rounder , or worse case scenario 2 or 3 second rounders.
Your thoughts?

Could witts walk into pre season draftband we get nothing
Why would he? Collingwood discovered him playing schoolyard footy and gave him a career. What reason would he have to burn the club that gave him a career?

Also, lol at anyone who believes for a second that the Bears are actually offering Witts $700k. Even loopy Leppo isn't that insane.

What other teams?
What reason would he have to burn the club that gave him a career?.
The club that tried to discard him last year, mismanaged his injury in his supposedly break out year that could have landed him a lucrative contract?
Not saying he is spiteful but I reckon we are even. And all the best to him if he leaves. But 700k? Overrated. And at the Lions? Massive lolz there. He know he can do much better.
