Seriously? Darcy Moore?
We finally get our hands on a freebie (FS) recruit thats an absolute beauty and you wanna chuck him up as trade bait? Seriously....I don't care if you can get a top three pick and they chuck in Patton. This notion is seriously flawed. This is how clubs disintegrate, chucking their gun kids names about. Stay the course....Darc will captain the pies one day.

Seriously, read the first few posts on the subject. Even the guy who suggested it said he probably wouldn't have the stomach to do the trade. This is really not something to get upset over.

soft spot for Carlton out of pity
The only one I would consider for Moore is Hogan. Even Jeremy Cameron I'd say no.
It was a laughable suggestion and one which I would not bother speculating unless it's for shits and giggles.

In which case, I'd also would not trade Moore for Cameron. Daniher is starting to look good, and Lynch is probably the best of a good crop f KPF's, but Moore is Collingwood, Lynch is AFL Franchise, and Daniher plays for the drug cheats through and through.

And that's fine. I'm still on the fence with Moore. I love his attack on the ball, and I love his accurate kicking. I just get worried that he doesn't seem to read the flight of the ball so well at times, and isn't great 1v1. If he can improve those things and get more of the pill consistently he can be one of the elite forwards, but at the moment all it is, is potential. As it stands, Hogan, Cameron, Lynch and as much as it pains me to say it, Daniher, all have more value at the trade table.

Moore is the most raw and I think youngest of that lot. He just needs more strength and experience but I'm happy with who we got.

I say him being Skinny could be a Reason why his 1v1 is not great yet. Not Sure you mean his Reading of the Play is not great yet?

Moore seems to be a Quick Improver IF he see his Field Kicking in the u-18 to end of the Season. He Improved a Fair Bit

Cameron and Lynch have a few years on Darcy

Absolutely. And in all honestly he has the potential to be better than all of them, but the discussion was surrounding current value, and potential will only get you so far compared to proven performance.

He often runs under the ball a bit during mark attempts, and he simply doesn't get much of the ball at all.

As I already said, we're talking potential versus proven performance. Darcy may well end up being the best of the lot, but as it stands, his main value will be based on what he has shown so far, not what he may or may not produce in the future.

Seriously, you don't need to defend Darcy here Dave. I've already made it perfectly clear I'm not in favour of the proposed deal with Patton, but Ketchup shouldn't be called crazy for suggesting it, because as it stands, the deal he proposed was heavily in our favour.

Patton who's nothing of what he used to be. and a first rounder at like Pick 16.. Not worth it.
The proposed deal was for the pick we gave GWS for Treloar. If you think that's going to be pick 16 at this point you're a lunatic.
And Patton needs time. You can't expect him to perform to the standards he was before doing his knees for at least 12 months after his return.

Or you could just keep a fit and healthy Darcy Moore...

That is why the Propsed Trade Ketchup has put would because on Exposed Form We Win the Trade and GWS would lose

Moore has just as much chance of being a bust as Patton. And no, I'm not saying Moore is a dud, I'm saying they're both quality and are likely to have long careers.

You're clutching at straws if you think Patton hasn't shown his immense potential on the field yet, despite his injuries.
Yeah nah.. Moore has shown more already than Patton has. Moore's younger and has not ruptured his acl twice which for any afl footballer is a huge drawback to their potential and longevity in the game.
