The loss of Hudghton and possibly Koschitzke really hurts. I think Maxie would have been a great match up for Tarrant, but now we may have to try Maguire or even possibly Goddard on him. What is a positive for us is the form of Fraser Gehrig, he provides a great target at FF. Hopefully the backline can hold and allow Gehrig and Riewoldt to both play in the forward line along with Hamill. It should be a great game, a must win for both sides. Perhaps the injuries to Hudghton and Koschitzke tips it into Collingwood's favour, but I still think we are a good chance. Our last three wins have come from beating sides below us, so we really need to step up and beat a decent side like the Pies.

Seriously, what are the thoughts of Saints fans in regards to this week's game?

Very close game with Didak doing nothing all game but kicking a couple of brilliant goals late in the 4th quarter to win by about 18 points.

Same as last year with Nick Davis.

Hudghton is a huge loss, as is Kosi, hopefully balanced by Presti.

1...Very concerned about our ability to cover the loss of a couple of important players.
2...I'm not superstitious but the Subiaco "hoodoo" worries me.

We'll win by 5 - 6 goals going away

I wish :D

Hudghton is the one I can remember usually gets Tarrant, and does a pretty good job on him, so there's a big plus for us. You won't have to worry if Tarrant continues his Richo-like kicking form, tho.

I'm expecting this to be a pretty close game and the Saints to win actually.:(

If the saints play with the same intensity as last week and produce a few less turnovers they will win easily IMO.

They should domiate the clearances even more than last week as the pies have less ruck power than Freo.

Wow are you psychic? Oh you said the saints..

If I may comment:

Collingwood were the better side on the night, but I felt individually St Kilda were at least as good as us. Nothing we did all night came close to the individual acts of brilliance all over the ground from the Saints in the second quarter.

We killed you for teamwork and coaching. Every time we got a mismatch or won a duel (Tarrant/Schwarze, Fraser/Capuano) Malthouse milked it and the team profited. The Saints responded to some opportunities (you went beserk when Buckley and Burns had a rest) but missed more or responded slowly.

I think the final margin flattered us, but the result was right. Swap the coaches and it would've gone the other way.

Did we miss Hudghton or what??!! There's no way in the world Max would have let Tarrant get anywhere near the number of possessions and goals the he ended up with. Oh well.....
