Ignoring tonight's disaster, what 22 would Pie fans like to see in round 1, 2006? I think it would look something like this:

B: Maxwell, Prestigiacomo, Clement
HB: R. Shaw, Wakelin, Swan
C: Lockyer, Burns, Holland
HF: Buckley, Rocca, T. Cloke
F: Davis, Tarrant, Didak
R: Fraser, Licuria, O'Bree
Int: Cole, Johnson, Richards, Caracella

That side, if fit, would challenge for the top four, I reckon.

Top 4 definitely no, but most likely top 8. Has a very good defense and a pretty good forwardline but need the midfield to relieve pressure on the defense and get it down to the forwards.

Bottom 4.
anyone esle really not care what this guy thinks? If you added some thinking to your answer it would help.

Hopefully we will stay fit and i think we could be a top 4 side i mean we were a couple of years agos weren't we.

Hopefully the draft picks will slot in nicely during the season and also last years do.

Heres my side.

FB: Johnson Presti Clement
HB: R. Shaw Wakelin Swan
C: Burns O'Bree Lockyer
HF: Tarrant T. Cloke Buckley
FF: Caracella Rocca Didak
R: Fraser Licuria Holland
I: Richards, Rowe, Maxwell, Egan

Would really like to see Rocca put in the square and Tarrant pushed up the ground.

Seen some really good stuff from the young guys. Future will be the likes of Swan, Rowe, Maxwell, Trav Cloke, davies and egan.

Cole, Lonie and Davis should be traded.

Here's my side.

FB: Ben Johnson ~ Simon Prestigiacomo ~ Dane Swan
HB: James Clement ~ Shane Wakelin ~ Nick Maxwell
C: Brodie Holland ~ Scott Burns ~ Ryan Lonie
HF: Nathan Buckley ~ Anthony Rocca ~ Blake Caracella
FF: Sean Rusling ~ Chris Tarrant ~ Alan Didak
R: Josh Fraser ~ Paul Licuria ~ Ben Davies
INT: Tarkyn Lockyer ~ Julian Rowe ~ Shane O'Bree ~ Travis Cloke

I have a couple of young players starting in the best 18. I believe Sean Rusling and Benny Davies will become superstars of this football club, and I won't hesitate in giving them plenty of gametime next season. The reason why I haven't got Rhyce Shaw in my team, because he won't be ready by January.

The side will look better (or maybe worse!?) then that for next year. Do people forget that there is a trade period?

Not to mention the national and pre season drafts? We have early picks in both and could easily pick up a few players worthy of a starting 22.

good point, id like to think if we got a murphy or ellis etc, they would be in the starting 22, but perhaps not round 1, definetly in the best 22 by round 22. i still dunno bout this trading thing though, we havent been a good position to for the last few years, whats changed now?
