It’s a bit odd. Certain keys actually make stuff look like it has changed colour. D major is sky blue, D minor usually dark, greyish blue, E flat rich maroon, F major verdant green.

It works backwards too. I’m not a fan of those magazine home interiors that match up colours. Literally makes you feel what one-note really means and my ears start humming and I have to go outside to make it go away

That’s the one that causes more problems because it’s an irritant or uncomfortable but fortunately it’s not often you’re in an environment with a very dominant colour so it isn’t triggered frequently. But I reverse out fast where some weirdo decorates a room entirely in pink for a little girl because it hums this long pitch that doesn’t stop until I leave. And we had to go find a different B&B in Cornwall because they had done peculiar decor with each suite with a colour theme and the sound was driving me nuts. Fortunately partner PG is resigned to it now, he loads the dishwasher super quietly so I don’t think there is a storm coming with lightening or the electrics have gone weird.
