If he was, I'd do the trade, although I can't see Brisbane parting with him.
Having said that, Tippett would have to at a minimum draw their first round draft pick which should result in a quality mid-fielder.
IMO premierships are won on the quality of the mid-field, as they can make even an average forward line look good.
If Tippett re-signs, and my gut feeling is that he may do a 1 year deal with us - 2 years as a maximum, then we just can't play the 3 talls in the forward line.
When Tippett was out, we played with 2 talls up forward, and at times when Jenkins or Jacobs went off for a rest, with only 1 tall up forward.
That forced our players to lift their eyes as they approached our forward line and use the ball well by picking out one of the forwards as they spread.
We did that to some degree in the 1st quarter when we played well.
But in the last 3 quarters it was generally bomb away looking for Tippett or Jenkins rather than using the shorter options who were free.
Just on Tippett, if you're 202 cms tall then if you attempt to mark the ball in front of your eyes with your arms extended, it should be physically impossible for a defender to spoil the mark.
I know he was rusty last night, and will improve on that, but for god's sake, someone in Crow-land please show him the correct way to mark a footy and he just might be worth $700k per year!!

I think that is Kurts biggest downfall. He too often runs under the ball resulting in a missed mark. His timing and positioning is very poor.
Another thing that irks me is that he is easily pushed out of position by defenders. I would have thought a bloke his size and strength would be able to at least hold his ground, this is linked to my first point.
