Lloris
Bellerin - Alderweireld - Kos - Monreal
Dier - Carzorla
Sanchez - Ozil - Eriksen
Kane

Similar to WorldCup2022OZ just Dier in for ******** and Toby in for Jan. Haven't seen a lot of Arsenal's games this season but giving Monreal the benefit of the doubt over an improving Danny Rose at LB. He's the much safer option but Rose at the back end of last season was probably our 2nd best player behind Kane, if he can get back to that sort of form that LB spot is another that could change hands

Obviously biased (as we all are) but Azpi is the only LB I'd pick over Monreal at the moment, and even that is a pretty close call. On this season's form I'd take Giroud over Kane as well but I don't think many Spurs fans would agree with that!

Combined Everton/Liverpool ...

Mignolet
Clyne - Stones - Sakho - Baines
Henderson - Can
Sturridge - Coutinho - Barkley
Lukaku
Couldn't argue against any of that. Maybe Benteke - Lukaku but I personally think Lukaku is better.

Giroud's service from the likes of Ozil and Carzorla has been different class to what we've provided Kane. I've been just as happy with Kane this season as last. His harassing and link up has been good all season and I think that is what Poch wants out of his striker, with 30 goals a season an added bonus

I respectfully disagree with that. The harassing should be non negotiable.

Take Vardy for example. Last season he was 2nd or 3rd in assists for the season. This season is well documented but I much prefer him to be banging the goals in while harassing the opposition (admittedly he's always done that for us) rather than just getting the assists. We've been far better off when our striker is scoring.

I do suppose it could be different for different teams though. I don't watch as much of Tottenham as you lot but as a neutral, it was far more exciting watching Spurs when Kane had that end product working for him.

Kane is better than Giroud.
I'm not so sure. I don't doubt he'll likely end up better but Giroud is very underrated. He scores with his head and scores with his feet. Check out this mornings goal. Even when the game was gone, he comes out with that kind of quality finish.

Kane scoring & saving us in a poor performance vs Spurs/Kane playing well and winning with someone else scoring?

We were pretty dire for a lot of last season and his hot streak inflated our results a bit. This season has seen a more team orientated approach to our wins which is a lot better imo.

Oh I get the more balanced team part of it. Just talking purely Kane, surely you prefer him to be in the goalscoring form we saw last season?

I definitely get the more rounded team bit. If Vardy goes down injured, we'll be in a world of hurt.

Obviously if he was running hot like that it wouldn't mean the team didnt still play well together. Would have been extra gloss on some good performances, with a 1-0 being a 2 or 3 nil result. But his overall play hasn't changed a great deal. I'd say his goals are the 2nd thing Poch & most Spurs fans judge him on though

To clarify I was picking Giroud purely on current form, I agree that Kane is a better striker overall, but this season as a goalscorer he has been pretty poor, with only one goal coming against decent opposition.

Yeah. Take out Kane and Lloris last season and we were borderline relegation battlers. So dire in many many games. Hope Son returns this weekend, made us even more dynamic. Sounds weird but all season so far when Kane wasn't scoring I wasn't worried about losing thanks to Toby and Dier stiffening us up in defence and have still been confident of winning given more players seem to be scoring for us this season. Even Dembele and Alli have popped in a couple each.

So definitely agree with more rounded team being better than relying on Kane solely.

Look if he was wandering around doing nothing like Adebayor or missing simple chances like Soldado it's a different story. He was working hard, linking up well & not really getting the rub of the green with GKs making some fantastic saves that last season found their way through.

On current form id have Lucas in there before Can but Can has a huge ceiling. I wouldnt have Lukaku in front of Benteke though.

Clyne ahead of Coleman :drunk:

Yep, completely agree with this.
