Cometti sux - Bruce & Brereton Forever!

I think that Cometti is the joke of commentators. If you listen to him and watch the game really hard, then you realise that he is aboout 6 seconds delayed. He never lifts his voice or gets excited.

Bruce is known best for his comment
"SPECIAL!". He is an emotional guy and that is good for footy.

No, I reckon Cometti's the best of the bunch. What he's doing is letting the pictures tell the story - he's a *television* commentator. He also has a dry sense of humour that obviously goes over some people's heads.

Brereton knows his stuff, but overdoes it. Dunstall just tries to match him. Having the two of them together makes things twice as bad.

The only charitable thing I can say about Brucie is that he would be better on radio, where the commentary itself has to create the excitement.

Bruce is an idiot. He is a Carey apologist. He has his favourites and he loves the Swannies even though he supports Adelaide. He usually talks drivel, and he doesnt know too much about footy despite what everyone says re stats. When Adelaide defeated Richmond he trotted out the one that no team has ever made the finals after losing the first 5 games but maybe Adelaide was going to make more history. Healy then jumped on it and repeated it in Talking Footy. WRONG.
Collingwood did it in 1959. Lost 5, won 12 out of the next 13 and made the Final 4.

Dermie was better last year. He does go on a bit too much this year. As for Dunstall what a dickhead he really is. No wonder nobody likes him. I think my alter ego Sheedy doesnt care too much for him either after the last fortnight's performances on The Game.

Because when I see my footy, I don't want the game to be commentated. I would much prefer to have the kicks out analysed so much that we miss most of the action for the next 30 seconds.

And need I even have to bring up Bruce's continual gushing over specific players.
I am not just talking about Carey either!

No, I prefer Dennis Cometti commentating anytime.

Cometti rules he always cracks me up with that dry sense of humor its great. Bruce is also very good but he just pisses me off with CCCCCaaaaaarrreeeeeyyyy and Captain Courageous!!!!! Grrrrrrrrr.

Bruce is patronising full stop

He is just so gushy and sickly sweet all the time. He inflates mere commentary into way over the top rhetorical flushes that are more suited to reading stories to young children at bedtime.

Oh and the general tone of his work also seems to be pitched at the very young and easily impressionable.

Can't stand him - a little twerp, really.

KS just on the sheeds thing on the Game, at least Dunstall stood by what he said, seems every other media mouth piece when they actually were face to face with Sheeds turned gutless and backed away from a confrontation with him.
Jase didnt back away from what he thought of the incident and I reckon doesnt give a toss what Sheedy thinks of him. Wish a few more had the guts to stand by what they say in the same circumstances.
