Yeah, his choice to go to Collingwood would seem to be at odds with his personal needs to avoid the limelight.
Agreed. Easier to fly under the radar at Nth. Don't think he'd be used to this scrutiny. Seemed uncomfortable in the story I saw where the media followed him asking for a comment on the scans he was getting. If he was at Nth, no media would have given a stuff!

I feel sorry for him. I'll always love Daniel plus I think we'll be better off in the long run without him. Him leaving meant that our entire midfield could be reset basically. Hopefully JW will be a gun too.

It was just a question that he may not be enjoying the constant speculation that is coming with being at Collingwood. He may be fine with it but unless he starts getting on the park it will be coming thick and fast.
Heat certainly rising among the supporters I know. Playing for them is another world, hope he was well advised by his manager about the downside (haha).

He's definitely going in for all or nothing.....cares more about his career than the club. Can say Brad Scott is the opposite. At least thats my belief going by his words.

Thank god we didnt get that Figjam as our coach. We'd be in the $hit.

Was always going to end up like this, hence why we didn't even think about matching the length of Collingwood's deal. Goes to show just how desperate Bucks is.
True and i don't feel sorry for him at all he made his bed he can sleep in it now...
Not because he left but the way he went about it.

If he was at North, the interviewer would've asked"Lindsay" how he was going

NRL and AFL fans will be able to choose which version of The Footy Show they watch live each week.

Channel 9 has announced it will stream both versions of the show on its streaming service 9Now.

It means AFL fans in New South Wales and Queensland, and NRL fans from other states will be able to choose to watch the alternative version of the show live for the first time.

In the past, fans of 'the other code' have had to wait for 'very late night' replays.

Key points:

- The NRL Footy Show returned to screens last Thursday, it airs every week immediately after the Thursday night game effectively as a post-game show

- While viewers in Victoria got the game on 9Gem, the coverage cut off abruptly before The NRL Footy Show

- The AFL Footy Show returns this Thursday night with Craig Hutchison replacing James Brayshaw as co-host alongside Rebecca Maddern and Sam Newman.

- Richmond player Alex Rance has joined The AFL Footy Show cast

- The AFL Show is introducing a player takeover on Twitter, @PlayerTakeover, with a different star live tweeting the show each week, this week beginning with Crows captain Taylor 'Tex' Walker

- The AFL Show is in its 24th year, and will be again forced to move to Wednesday nights on occasions when the AFL has Thursday night games

Be good to get an option where you open the app and then right before you have to choose which version to watch it uses the flash on your smartphone to blind thus saving one from an agonising evening of entertainment.

The TAC seem to be *******s TBH. Perfect chance to educate on the potential consequences of not checking your speed when overtaking on a country road, and instead they choose to shut down.

Rookies to have an impact

NORTH MELBOURNE

With the exit of multiple veterans at the end of 2016, there’s opportunities aplenty for North’s youngsters to make their mark. One rookie to have done so already is young forward Cameron Zurhaar. The nuggety, aggressive 18-year-old showed some good signs against Hawthorn, with nine possessions and a goal. With North’s focus on youth, there could be a chance Zurhaar breaks into the team, with his height and size offering something a little bit different to the Kangaroos’ forward line.

TAC has parted ways with Geelong after Selwood's indiscretion.
Taxpayer funded entities shouldn't be sponsoring individual AFL clubs period.

However in this case an exception has always been needed as otherwise Geelong wouldn't get to enjoy a thrice redeveloped stadium.
