I thought he was good.
The feedback on the main board wss that Swallow was one of the more impressive ones. Got decent airtime as well.
The one that looked the least impressive was Cotchin - he actually admitted he couldn't wait to get home after training and is looking forward to the end of his career!
Phil Davis is a tool and Rockliff is a clown.
Massive respect for Riewoldt, Pav, Boak and Rob Murphy.
Jobe looks mentally drained - no sympathy.
Yeah, Pendlebury, R Murphy and Pav were very impressive, no surprise.
More impressed with Boak and Tex than I expected to be.
Riewoldt more impressive than I kind of wanted him to be given the way he used to carry on on the field, but also no surprise. He's maybe starting to grow on me.
Without in any way changing my opinion of the whole * saga, including the fact that senior players should have done a lot more at the time and the fact that it's dragged on is no good reason just to give up or go easy on them, I suspect *jobe comes out looking better than most at that *club and I did feel the vague sensation of something not exactly like but vaguely similar to grudging respect.
Cotchin yeah, a lot less self-assured than I expected, carrying the weight of it a bit less easily.
Both sets of co-captains interesting too - they seemed to fall into a senior-junior setup where McVeigh and Ward seemed the more natural 'real' captain.
Interested in Spitta. In a way because we are the sort of people who follow the pressers and club videos and whatnot, there wasn't a huge amount new or surprising. I thought the meeting where they were discussing Jacobs[1] was interesting. For some reason I didn't really think that "tell him he's got 6 weeks and not to worry" wouldn't actually happen at that level but it does. Consistent with what we see at selection with the MC valuing confidence and continuity. Also a LOT more vocal than I think a lot of this board gives him credit for.
[1]It was so obviously Jacobs. No point even guessing anyone else.
