Interesting response from Dal on the Footy Show when asked who wins the Grand Final?Emphatically said he can't see how Hawthorn can lose. To be honest the way he said it, led me to believe he was a bit pissed and bitter about how West Coast got there (umpiring ..... cough...cough)?

Maybe I am reading something into it more than it was, but you would normally think he would have been complimentary to West Coast since they had just beaten us?

I have a feeling that like us the players might be a bit miffed at the shenanigans that took place last Saturday night.

They sat down at Wacky Wednesday and realised that they should have beaten them.

Could they sit down after being violated like that on Saturday night?
Nup...it took me to Tuesday to realise we probably pissed away the best chance of making a GF since 99 by not kicking straight...by not holding marks...by not making the right moves...by not....

If you live long enough there are worse feelings in Afl..74...78...98.

Our window is open still. .
Saturday night was a shit sandwich.

We will rise from it and be driven by it.

98. I just got chills down my spine.......
I still get depressed every time Fox Footy dredges up anything to do with Adelaide's back to back in '97 and '98.

Adelaide perfected the Bradbury, not once but twice!

People are talking about the Hawthorn team potentially becoming immortals, North had the talent and team to win 4 in a row in the 90's.

98 GF. We'd bought our first house. Entire place had its floorboards ripped up to re-stump. Piles of dirt all through and inside the house. Shit everywhere. Sleeping in the very back room (shoebox). Downed tools, got a beer and watched on a tiny portable TV sitting on a mattress on the floor........I don't need to mention the goal kicking accuracy. Flattest day of my life.

I had my cards read on my 30th birthday in August.

She gave me three wishes. ..one was a Flag.

We then went on a winning streak all the way to half time and I thought that wish was coming true.

Imagine the horror. ...

You poor bastards. I was only a couple days from turning 2 years old, while you had to sit through that horror show knowing full well what was unfolding.
Points being that as disappointing as the last two years were..there is worse.

That being said we did have the pleasure of sitting through the 96 and 99 wins. In that era with Carey and Longmire etc we turned up to the footy with a 98% feeling that we were going to win each and every week. No flakiness. There's been no feeling like it since.

Hope we have a 2016 without avoidable hiccups and we'll be a serious chance.
