This time around in part 2 can we try to keep the victim complex to a minimum. Yes we get a shockingly raw deal in the media - belittled by some, simply ignored by others and flat out dispised by a great deal. And yes the double standards applied to our club are astonishing.

But it's just not worth getting worked up over every tiny little slight. You've got to pick your battles. Save your outrage for the truly egregious moments (because we know they're coming).

Robbo is like Trump.

People think that he is putting on this act of being a lovable man of the people larrakin so that he can do some stupid shit, say some stupid things but get away with it because he appeals to the great unwashed, but behind it all is some semblance of an organised and informed brain.

Reality is that he is a bit of a sheltered, working to middlish class white bogan male with little exposure to much outside footy, durries, beer, his mates, cars, Home and Away, holidays in Bali and people pretty much like him. He just ain't that smart nor that wise. He is a bloke who managed to trip up the stairs rather than fall down it.

And when someone gets to an elevated position through luck and 'product placement' by decision makers their idiocy and ego will eventually get them into trouble, and this is where Robbo starts chewing on his ankle.
Might screengrab that post and send it to him when he bags North next. Brilliant summary :)

I completely agree. And on that topic,

Matt Thompson can get completely ****ed. Mad props to Nick Bowen keeping his cool on this week's AFL Exchange.

What was that pillock on about?

Oh, stuff like "why don't North get more attention for being bad?"
Nick: "Well Matt because they haven't. They've been competitive and could have won 6 or 7. They're better than most people predicted pre-season and they're getting games into kids like they said they would."

And then "would getting Dusty make them less boring and irrelevant?"
Nick: "What, you want them to have off field drama?"

Pillock is the right word. He's the most egregious "barrack for the story" jackal out there. Doesn't care about anything but drama.

Was that on the AFL site?

Jeebus how does that get posted by the league.

That is a disgrace. Have you got a link to it?

In this week's AFL Exchange podcast, which used to be good when Drew Petries was on it.

Feel like going down to training for Brad's presser just to tell Thompson to gagf.

Great work guys...

I'm going to need some guidelines here Augustine. Were Matt Thompson's comments "egregious" or a "tiny little slight"?

slight. n An insult caused by a failure to show someone proper respect or attention..
egregious. adj. Outstandingly bad; shocking.

Perhaps an egregious slight? ;) Let's face it, many, if not most of us, get triggered by the regular lack of respect or attention we're shown in the AFL media. I suggest one's person's egregious is another person's tiny slight? (Rob, tell him gagf from me too would ya?)

I confess, for me, the aggregate of 'tiny slights' have had a cumulative effect, such that every slight nowadays feels egregious. It's all one body of work. If we take a benevolent view, group-think seems to be an underlying factor. More cynically, it's a coordinated conspiracy of deliberate neglect designed to undermine our current and future prosperity.

group-think n. the practice of thinking or making decisions as a group, resulting typically in unchallenged, poor-quality decision-making.
conspiracy. n. secret plan by a group to do something harmful. The action of plotting or conspiring.

I think there's a slight chance that I slightly agree about reports that slight our club........ but only slightly.......

Ask him if his anti North bias has anything to do with his tiny pee pee.

Then tell him to GAGF.
