I don't think she is wrong. They said a crackdown was coming, cunners dropped a bloke behind play. He is lucky, and christian is inconsistent. Finally got the rub on the this one though.

She lost too many points for me not to think she's singling us out.

Harsh comment about finals, especially as it's still round 1.

On the bright side, still no where near as much heat as what ** is coping :tearsofjoy::sweatsmile:
based on the game structure i saw on the weekend its hard to dispute this, i honestly dont think the outcome would have been much different if we went into last weeks game with a fit anderson and jacobs. that would have made us full strength. i said it in it the autopsy and GDT that cattle don't seem to be the problem, were playing without any real system, and that's not a 5 min fix. i can see us being 2 wins after 8 weeks if we are lucky, and even thats being optimistic.

All true. Given one of our players was struck in the nuts in the exact same game thought it's hard to feel like this was the only incident that was judged incorrectly.

I don't think it would have made any difference either. At a certain point it's got nothing to do with 1 or 2 changes to the players. That said, one result - however poor - in a season doesn't mean the season is a write off... yet.

Agree on Anderson and Jacobs. However, my very strong belief is that the issue is Tarrant and Thompson- full stop. Including the JLT games, we have not lined up with a vaguely functioning backline spine so far this season. That situation ends this week. As far as I’m concerned, it has been akin to the team lining up with a neck brace. I could be delusional and I’ll cop that, if we don’t see a massive improvement this weekend. Injuries to Tarrant, Daw, Wright, Marley, Durdin, McMillan, EVW injured early in game, Thomson suspended all at the same time - come on, give me a break - how could we hope to begin to function? Once again, I stress that there COULD be huge upside for McKay in all of this - if he has the mental fortitude.

I can see what you're saying but i'm still not convinced. There is a system and game plan in place but we just can't seem to carry it out.
Is that Brad's fault for making it too difficult & complicated or the players for not being able to carry it out?

I’m guessing that Brad was faced with a conundrum on the weekend. He had devised a particular game plan for the team and built the team around said plan. What he didn’t foresee was the “plague” that felled our entire backline - a very important part of any game plan. Throughout the JLT, he could have reverted to a more “safety first” approach and deprived the team of the opportunity to get used to the new game plan. One could argue that that would have been the same more prudent approach and “might” have resulted in a closer finish. However, Brad stuck to his guns, I suspect in the hope that the team will benefit more in the medium/long term, as a result. Time will tell, as our backline moves towards something resembling normality... I fully accept that the above is more based on wishful thinking, rather than any certainty on my part. Anything else doesn’t bear thinking about, particularly approaching R2 of a season - one, initially, primed with great hopes. Bottom line, this season will, probably, be either like 2006/2009 or like 2007/2014/2015.

That system wasn’t sighted in any JLT, practice or even the VFL matches I’ve seen.

I’m sure there is one and maybe we have seen 5 minutes of it but WOW - nothing really - we haven’t executed at all.

No point pointing fingers yet but I hope it’s actually doable

agree absolutely terrible. trying to play too much on the wheelchair disabled side of things for jokes at times for one. I like Fev but the rest just arnt cut out for it. its a disgrace! Sam and Eddie built something amazing now with this politicallly correct world its runied

Now, it's pretty well established that I have no time for the AFLW gimmick, but a certain name keeps popping up in front of me regardless, namely Tayl"ah" Harris (obviously bogan parents).

Can anyone explain to me what this bullshit is all about?

She hasn't lost a boxing match yet (according to wikipedia). And she's from brisbane so that explains the name. The rest of it you're gonna have to figure out for yourself.
