I found this section from DB's article to be informative. We're definitely in that bucket of teams playing the 'keepings off' style but it's also great to see, like in the ADL game, that we can switch to fast attacking when required. I think over time all our new faces will gel and we'll get better at these game plays.

"If there's one thing an AFL coach hates, it is the removal or erosion of any form of control.

And that is what happened when the AFL restricted their use of runners, forced them to keep six players inside the 50m arcs for all centre bounces, and gave them the option of being aggressive in how their players returned the ball to play after an opposition behind.

The AFL was genuine in both its needs for more attacking football, and the methods in which it sought to institute change.

But with up to 10 assistant coaches in some form supporting a senior coach at each club, no matter what headquarters legislates, it is only a matter of time that it is pulled apart.

The numbers out of the opening four rounds of 2019 are worrying for the AFL.

Coaches are employing keepings-off strategies, not embracing the AFL-gifted licence to attack. Thirty-six players are regularly in one half of the ground, as they regularly were in recent seasons. "

They meddle to keep the attention deficit fans engaged by trying to manipulate high scoring through rule changes. They achieve zero.

So when we are losing, we all go into hiding? Great leadership!

Thanks for the message.

Certainly not going into hiding - it's all about catering the message to the current mood/sentiment.

After three straight losses, a lot of fans understandably don't want to see a player interview talking about how we can improve etc. - we don't want to force content that members and supporters don't want to see and cause further frustration in a tough time.

Likewise when things are going well, we want to share as much content as we can so you can enjoy it.

Thanks for your understanding and support.

Hi Rob - traditionally the club has had a clip of Join in the Chorus up soon after past wins.

Of course it's possible to watch on the replay but it's a great thing to be able to watch straight away for fans heading home after the game. Would be good to have this practice back in action, hopefully every week for the remainder of the season.

Thanks for posting on here, you and Heath specifically do some very watchable content on camera.

Hey Rob mate have you considered this
Can someone make a compilation called "Cam Zurhaar is a campaigner" of Cam Zurhaar's campaignery moments.

I think it stems from the Good Friday game advertisement. Lloyd and Carey.

Might be the stepping stone the club needs to open discussions with him on coaching some players how to kick for goal ;)
