Just heard Caro stick up for North on 3AW - that hasta be a first. Said North should keep the Good Friday game. No reason to take it from them. Excellent attendance so what's the issue? I heard her - but I don't believe it.
Caro has been more positive than negative about North now for many years TBH.

Hate the cheats but have to say they put up in a fantastic way before and during the game for the RCH side of things, and a set contest against them would make it a big match every year - they always come in numbers and North people care about this matchup above all others.

After the AFL went with North-Western in year 1, I think we could all have made that work too, but this starts at another level in every way and I’m all for it.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve managed to get to all three and this one by far had a real buzz and big game feel to it.

And of course there’s a genuine rivalry there.

100% this was a factor with the current disharmony being shown by the rank and file.

Fight really hard for something for a very long time. Get to face to old enemy. Put that disgraceful display onto the big stage.

Locking in the scum and us for Good Friday is a positive.

The AFL have a tainted chalice, but, locking it in will mean that we don't lose it regardless of a down turn. One we very possibly are facing.

Thought the potential Easter/ANZAC Day clash night have been an issue, though?
I think in about 20 years Good Friday will fall on Anzac Day. But until then there are no conflicts.
I checked it out when the fixture was released, just in case we made a success of the day and the bombres became a potential long- term opponent.

The Dogs agreed with us to make an exclusive bid for the day.

The Dogs also agreed to make an exclusive bid for the day with Carlton.

Carlton found out about this and raised it with the AFL who were not exactly thrilled.
Dogs also tried to establish a side deal with StKilda. Dogs are basically cheating, lying whores.

Yes I almost have more respect for the overt racists than I do for the sheep who boo because "You can't tell moi what to do!"
I've got more respect for the cow shit I scrape off my boots at the end of the day than I do for racists.

But I booed Goodes, or the umps, or both that night we ended his career.

I reckon some of you might remember the third quarter when that series of frees weren't paid against him then he got a soft one immediately afterward. People booed that cos it was bullshit. Not cos of any other reason. The North crowd got more agitated as Goodes gave away several frees, well should have but they were overlooked. Then he got one that seemed ridiculous and everyone started booing. This was during the 2015 series, and I'm pretty sure that in that finals series every teams first goal against us came from umpiring decisions late into the game. So it was as much about the umpiring as him.

And I think he was a good player. A sniper at times and he got a good run from the umps but he was also a gun and I'd love to have him in our side right now. Pretty much everything he said that was controversial was spot on too.
