Some interesting content in there, few things I found interesting:

- Campbell will be at the club next year due to his leadership
- Blakey loves McKay
- Ford & Xerri are close to playing 1s

The most pleasing thing is the language around them coaching for the long term. Embedding the way they want to play next year and beyond into the youngsters. No short cuts. Huge emphasis on education and development. Sounds like Noble is very highly respected.

They just said on AFL Tonight that David Trotter represents Harry McKay which some of you may already know. Being an ex Nth player could this work for or against us if we are making a play for Harry?

The job of the AFL is not to run a fair and equitable competition, it's to make as much money as possible. If they have to turn a blind eye to a few things (with a scapegoat every half decade or so to make it look like they are taking action), then they'll happily do so.

“The AFL is the peak body responsible for managing and administering Australian rules football. Its mission is to actively support all levels of football from juniors to the elite level. Operating as a non-profit organisation, it distributes the great proportion of its operating surplus – after administration and game development costs – to its constituent clubs”

As someone involved in junior footy, the AFL do sweet FA to assist the junior clubs.

And actively trying to destroy clubs, for example by forced mergers based on expected population growth....

It would be interesting to see what independent admin above the AFL, overseeing all levels looked like. Similar to the FA in the UK.

Do people remember why he was booed in the first place?
He was an uppity black man that was made Australian of the Year and said some thing that outraged the Murdoch Media.

The excuse became that he was a dirty player who set out to injure people intentionally; but that was just the excuse.

After that it became a free for all for two years before he retired.

This tells me that the pies are going the full rebuild route. New coach, new strategy and new team. Some players will be moved to get picks this and next year
