I for one like the little hits of optimism. Without it, the hope deflating as the game wears on wouldn't really feel as... well... feel.

Emotion is great when you went through periods of life not having any. Appreciate any you have, good or bad.

I feel like half of JDs came in the Suns game alone, so that should even out.

Chom is still learning what you can and cannot do as a backman, and defenders are often over-penalised compared to fowards. However, PC breaks that truism by doing dumb shit at least twice a game and giving away frees in the F50.

Xerri is a physical ruck, and other teams know this, so they force the old rucklotto and Xerri is coming off second best. He also chases unlike a lot of other big men, and as does happen when big tackles small, you see a lot of frees for high contact, which he's been pinged for a couple times.

That's an explanation, not an excuse. Usually, the cure for giving away free kicks is to be first to the contest, something I think the whole team could work on.

Admittedly only a few games, but that is a ridiculous outlier in an 18 team competition.

Needs more data for example which umpires are awarding the free kicks against us? Is there a bias? Are we copping the most inexperienced umpires every week? How many of the free kicks resulted in goals against us?

We are undisciplined and give away frees when we feel things slipping away.

Why? Because we don't back ourselves to actually turn it around with good team football and everybody tries to take it upon themselves like an idiot.
