I think tonight will tell us a lot about this footy club, playing group and coaches. I just fear for another insipid performance and the long term ramifications.

lol, how many times have I wondered the same thing, waiting for responses after the Sydney game, Gold Coast game, and Carlton game, only for the boys to completely roll over and submit like a dog waiting for a belly pat.

At this point it's better to just go in expecting the worst/usual result. Constantly getting your hopes up only to be mind-fcked for 140 odd games wears awful thin.

Well you have got to admit, that would be the appropriate response from Viney to any fan abuse of an opposition player, or does he condone that but just not negative media talk?

Any fan that boos a player probably shouldn’t expect to be invited into that club to conduct an interview with the coach. You don’t get a pass just because you’re in the media and can boo a million times louder.

The only way to diminish Kane Cornes' power is to simply blacklist and ignore the campaigner, and North took that first step where others wouldn't dare and clearly he's pissed off enough people in the footy world that catching him outside would catch him some hands.

Despite Australia being plagued with tall poppy syndrome, the bloke isn't a flower, he's a weedy leech and to the worst amongst the lot in this media landscape we have here is really saying something, because as far as I'm concerned they are all flogs.

They both understand the modern game so well. More so than Clarko I'd say. Plus they speak better and articulate well, a change from Clarko's grating ummms and ahhhs.

I think this is impossible for anyone outside of the club to say. I also find it completely unbelievable. They are in entirely different positions, Clarko is trying to coach a club and keep important concepts internal so he doesn't disadvantage his team.

Meanwhile, Simmo and Horse are in the media discussing how modern football works mechanistically with no need to hide anything to gain an edge over the opposition. If you reverse the roles and get Simmo to coach North, and Clarkson on AFL360 discussing how football works, you will have the exact opposite sense. I can almost guarantee it. Clarkson has been coaching for 20 years in the AFL, if you think he doesn't understand the game you are kidding yourself.

You can't do that, you need to provide a reason or you get fined and jeopardise coverage/exposure from the AFL broadcaster.

If that is not good enough, and the club were forced into it - "That's an interesting question Kane, I'll have to think about it" then move onto Hodgey's questions.
