I'll bite.

Hawthorn playing the Crows the other night. Just about every free kick Hawthorn received was questioned by Dunstall. To the point that Lyon had to almost explain the rules to Dunstall.

He criticised Hawthorn's gameplan repeatedly, even when it ended up with clear shots on goal to the forwards. He never thinks what actually is done is acceptable. There is always a better, but hypothetical, way of achieving the same result with him.

He sucked the joy out of the game for Hawthorn supporters, then compounded it by endlessly extolling Thilthorpe, who is a fine but not great player, in particular and the Crows in general.

It was tiresome.

To further add to this, a more specific example was when Ginni was 30-40m out from goal and instead of taking a shot, he hit a pass to Lewis who was now 20m out in front on a slight angle. Lewis kicked the goal.

Dunstall then proceeded to drone on and on for 5 minutes about how Ginni should have shot for goal himself instead of passing on a play that resulted in a Hawthorn goal. Most rational people would rather a set shot 20m out then attempting a shot on goal 30-40m goal.

Now, that's just one example.

A few years ago, on On The Couch, Dunstall named Sam Mitchell as his No.2 all-time Hawk, behind Lethal. It surprised his co-panellists and host Gerard Healy asked him is he was sure about his rating. The Chief was absolutely adamant and unstinting in his praise of Sam.

Quite the opposite of what you've been told, may I suggest.

Romping commentates like he's narrating a national geographic documentary. Goes into specific details of things that nobody cares about. He's not bad on that Unfiltered show because that's pretty much he's domain. Sit down interview style ask questions etc.

I used to shell peas for my mum back in the late 60s. Eventually she stopped asking me to do it because I liked eating raw peas from the pod

My grandad had a gallah when I was a kid that would open the pods by running its beak down it and then eat the raw peas. It was also bilingual because it figured out how to speak some Bosnian back to our neighbours. Would have made a better commentator to BT.

The cringiest part is when someone says something negative about her, and everyone else in the industry in the conversation has to come out and defend her to keep it PC. Listening to them fumble and make up stuff to support her is pretty funny at times.

Nearly all of them carry on every time we get a free kick, even obvious ones.

Dunstall is the worst at the moment due to his constant negativity. Underwood makes so many mistakes it’s painful. Lynch and Brown struggle to be coherent and Brown is a Hawks hater. Healy speaks with a monotone constantly. King makes some of the worst predictions and that it a low bar in the industry at the moment. Joey is like listening to a teenager.

Dwayne can be irritating but at least he has some personality. Huddo has become the worst at whinging about free kicks and cheerleading for the opposition.

My great grandfather worked in artillery battery in WWI. One day they decided to fire their weapons towards a local produce paddock which was growing peas. Said it was the easiest thing they'd ever done.

Dwayne has his moments but I think he is in your top group too.

His knowledge on players, all of them, is second to none. He does his research thoroughly.

I really like his Cometti-style puns and quips. He's very entertaining
