Even tho Roos is no longer their coach, i still think its a total conflict of interest, whenever he refers to the Swans its still "we"

argh just so annoying
 
Maybe it's just me, but it swings both ways.

Somehow it gets lost in translation for alot of people though. When we give a free kick away, some people take the groan as "ahhh what a stupid decision by the Freo player" and when they groan when Sydney gives a kick away it's "ahhhh that was a bad decision by the umpire". Hey presto, bias.

Have you guys ever thought maybe your listening is just as if not more biased than their commenting?

Roos is def biased but atleast he knows what he is talking about.
Start of the final quarter he looked at our structure an said Freo have put 2 guys behind the ball here.
Sydney get an early goal an he mentions how we have gone very negative its not something he would do as coach as it sends out the wrong message to players.

Once again our coaching staff have sent out a negative message to our players and it gets inside there head an they start not doing the hard stuff an what got them in the position they were in.
All year message coming from coaches has been negative,waiting for injured players to comeback, so many players out we are forced to play guys in diff positions etc etc.
Cut the negative crap an keep it positive.

I bet the reason we did so well for 3 quarters was due to a positive message.
They would of mentioned how its a must win game etc etc.

Alot of people say the game is now played 90% above their shoulders.
Meaning its a mental thing these days.
The game is decided by whats going on inside the players heads.
Send out negative messages there gonna struggle.

Well at lest we didn't have dwayne russel and danny frawley commenting.dwayne would of been unbearable in that last quarter.As for frawley he would of called all our errors brain fades,ball watching and not being aware of their man.Commentators always make our errors soooo much worse then any opponent even when we are winning!!!
 
Sydney have been on the bad end of commentators for years, Roosy was their former coach and I feel he is fair and knowledgable. Sorry Freo you won the game and congrats on that. The umpiring was disgraceful, I am not saying they were biased just incompetant. Really was v bad today and I for one have no respect for one of your players in Ballantyne. I like Freo and hope you do well but being there and seeing that game the umpiring hit a new low. The Sydney crowd who are usually polite and respectful ( i say usually) were going feral!!!!

What I learned before switching it off; we're fifth on the ladder, it costs 50cents extra to sit down for coffee at cafes outside the SCG, Lady Gaga brainwashed everyone in the media like some sort of evil genius and we had a player called Rhys Barlow waiting to come on.

What I cannot see is how many players a team has behind the ball, or how they are structuring up, or which of the opposition players may have the ability to go with Fyfe for example. Why the **** where the commentary team all boned up over Lady GaGa anyways.???

Take away her trimmings and make-up she ain't but an average slapper at best......
 
BTW I could almost swear I heard Mathew Lloyd during the Carlton Collingwood game say about Tarrant, "when he played at Freo he was playing the lead up forward role and didn't have much body on body contact but now he just thrives on it and gets the job done week in week out" or something like this. Wondered how long it would take before people started claiming Collingwood turned his career around.

Listening to SEN this morning and bloody Tim Watson says re Ballas free kick :
"Umpires should NEVER give this bloke another free kick ever"

And then when called out on it by Andy Mahr saying "that was a poor pot shot, and Tim you would love to have him playing at Essendon.

Tim replies "Yes, it was a pot shot"

GIMPS!
 
I think you guys are overreacting. I guess BT could just roll off continual one liners that he works on all week, or maybe he could ask every statement as a question?
I enjoy his commentary.

It could have been so much worse. I wonder if Matthew Campbell is free?
I need a guy that sounds like a really, really annoying know it all neighbour that you can't stand and doesn't know the names of the players he commentates every second week.
