Delta Blues: Nash Rawiller – Getting to the furlong everything else was getting the stitch, he went home well, a good Melbourne Cup run. Third.
Railings: Greg Childs – Fair run, press ahead to the Melbourne Cup, he will run the two miles. 10th.
Roman Arch: Noel Callow – Jumped in the air at the start and then never a real chance. 16th.
Our Smoking Joe: Jim Cassidy – Nice run, good effort and would have been better off with the sting out of the ground, always going to be near the lead, press onto the Melbourne Cup and hope the sting is out of the ground. Sixth.
Headturner: Darren Beadman – Travelled ok, probably a big track horse. 14th.
Grand Zulu: Kerrin McEvoy – Tempo did not suit early, strode forward to a handy position but not much room in the straight. 11th.
Short Pause: Mark Zara – Track too hard. 17th.
Activation: Michael Rodd – Thought I was home on the turn, having to be so close proved too hard, peaked at the 200m. Fourth.

Ice Chariot: Jim Byrne – Struggled, left flat footed. 15th.
Sphenophyta: Danny Nikolic – Very good run, run came on the home turn, took run but did not kick as strongly as I thought, may have struggled at the mile and half, shade disappointing, could not go onto the Melbourne Cup trip. Fifth.
Growl: Craig Williams – Mess up the start, but was back with the winner, came into it with a chance on the turn but did not go on. 13th.
Land ‘N Stars: Nicholas Ryan – May need Flemington as that track may suit better. 18th.
Zipping: Glen Boss – Last furlong was outstanding, he over-raced early and hit a flat spot from the 1000 metres to the last furlong (200m). 12th.
