There has been a call to contact Ch7 if you don't like commetti's style and tell them so before they finalize their commentary lineup for 2007.


Today he was patronizing to say the least towards the Dockers ( crows game).

IP we have had about 5 sunday games in a row, 4 of these were covered by the Fox team of grybus, healy & carey. absolutely no comparison with the rubbish dished up today.

i know its going against the grain a bit, but i LOVE listening to brereton! Its not like you can take the guy seriously when you see his face, and hes so dense its kind of like listening to warren from SOMETHING BOUT MARY commentating the game. Seriously, take the guy as the joke he is and you get a few laughs in every game!

I think Dermies problem is he has a childish Demeanor. He actually does know his footy.
 
I dont feel anything was major wrong with it today except dermie as usual but It would be great if he changes then fox would get him.grybus and healy are also good and When you look at whats left,they are miles in front of them.
 
I think some people are just overly sensitive.

Some of their remarks crack me up. Dermie talking about Josh Carr "The dirty rotten mungrel! I love him!".

dennis is knowledgeable - he may be grudging but he's usually fair & derm is a bit of an idiot but knowlegeble
not sure which one of the channel 10 team it is healy or grybus but one of them infuriates me with their lack of research on our players & our stats
 
Dennis was great once upon a time but it's become all about Dennis instead of the footy. In much the same way Sam Newman used to offer some sensible input and was occasionally funny, now he just tries too hard.

That old cliche, he thought he was bigger than the game definitely applies.

But as long as he is not commentating Freo or WC I don't mind DC too much. Although I'd have to agree that the Grybas/Healey/Carey team is currently leading by the length of the straight in the commentary stakes.
 
notice how they were singling out Schwab in the box as if to say he wasn't doing his job.

I actually hated Dennis his attitude is all wrong. He is no longer calling the game, he tries so hard to be funny but really fails dismally. He may get 1 or 2 funny sayings out of 30 or 40 attempts. Pathetic.

The fox sunday team is the best. Give me Bruce anyday.
 
Interesting points Docker-Johnno...ahh yes they were focusing on schwabby being in the coaches box and pondering why. Who gives a toss why...I wish I was in there :)

I think the 9 crew are seeing the end of their gravy train.

Anyone see Sunday 9 Crew doing the Cats vs Saints game?

Talking about doing there homework and what not, completely ruining what was a decent game uptill 3/4 time.
 
Dennis has clearly gone downhill the last season or two, the signs were coming when eddie started to praise dennis as a gifted comedian a few years ago

but he's on his last legs anyway and he knows it so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say thats why he totally sucks now
 
Hopefully Kerry Stokes can trot out a couple of different personalities than the well worn path and give the AFL commetary a fresh injection of informed opinion along the lines of Healy, Carey and Grybas?

That commentary team Brayshaw, Lyon, etc. and the Dennis, Dermie team are ridiculous. Often I have no idea what they are going on about. Actually for the majority of the game they talk carp. If the commentary is supposed to be funny at least hire comedians to do the job. Roy & H.G. do funny footy commentary and they used to work for 7. Hopefully if 7 is going to go the "comedientary" route they hire them.
 
get rid of commetti please, i use o like him before when in perth 2 yrs ago but nowdays hes trying to be funny when he aint and bag freo all times nbefore he was most impartial now no more.

Maybe he will toddle off to Channel Ten as its shown that Seven aren't interested. I'm sure TEN will pick him up.
