3 episodes airing on the same night. All separate episodes, just being done to get them all in before the Sweeps end in the USA, a time where there are more people involved in ratings.

Also, should say that NBC is expected to cancel/renew the show on the 14th May so we'll know either way before the season finale.
 
Very odd episode. Some good jokes aside, very rushed and perfunctory, considering the scale of what just happened.

It's clear there's a long way to go with this dual timeline story considering all the nods to "Advanced Chaos Theory" in the episode. If that's so, the rushed quality could be both a hurry to get to the guts of the story, and a deliberate fake-out before the real narrative intricacy kicks off. Hard to say. Could be some inspired stuff around the corner, but as a stand alone episode, meh. We'll know soon enough.

Chang has has some inspired solo moments, but the Changlorious Bastards just aren't very funny, and his power grab isn't particularly interesting in any sense.

Feels like an odd moment in the show, esp. with all the cancellation rumours swirling. The show's fans love its oddness and originality, but there is a distinct chance the show could go too hard on the meta-move stuff and finish with its head completely up its own arse, so to speak.

TV By The Numbers reckon it's pretty much a lock to be renewed (85%-90%), and they're generally pretty on the ball. It's rated poorly but other shows it's competing against for renewal are rating worse.

It does better than The Office, and 30 Rock is falling away fast, so Community should be higher on the list of renewal then those two.

Nah, Community has never had higher ratings than The Office, even with its post hiatus bump and The Office slumping to all time series lows.

Community has been pulling similar numbers to 30 Rock the last couple of weeks in the demo, but in saying that all four of NBC's current Thursday line up should be renewed.

The episode you mean is Remedial Chaos Theory, but while it may seem like I am nitpicking, I think you might have a point. If the first was Remedial, it most likely means a future episode WILL be Advanced, meaning another big timeline episode is in the works. I can't see this show ever getting old or running out of ideas. :thumbsu:
 
Smashed out All 2 seasons and 18 eps of season 3 in 4-5 days. Such a good show!
 
Community is reportedly being renewed for a 4th season, however it's shortened for only 13 episodes. Entertainment websites are saying they believe it'll be the last season, and it'll be cancelled after it.

Also, Chevy Chase is unlikely to be apart of the next season due to conflicts within the producers.

Hopefully it airs in the fall and they can pick up a back nine if the new shows flop.

I wish it'd been true. I know it wouldve felt like we'd been cheated with the whole show, but it wouldve been so amazingly epic.
