Consulting producer? ****. I don't like this at all.

The 8-bit episode was pure gold. I hope we don't lose this kind of stuff with Dan not at the helm.

Why do the TV Gods destroy the few, rare, excellent comedy shows that only come around once or twice a decade?

Sleep tight, sweet prince.

As much as Harmon is a dick (supposedly), Sony and NBC are awful by not talking to Harmon. I don't think Community will be the same, Community was his baby and he controlled so much of it and this consulting producer crap is basically a vanity credit.

I don't watch Happy Endings, I hear that it's a great show but it looks relatively plain and normal, and I'm sure Community will definitely lose some of its wackiness and everything that made it special in what will probably be its last season.

I was going to watch Happg Endings but heard that it sucked so hard, it wasn't worth my time. I'll have to check it out now, however.
Still, it's not just Harmon who is gone. Producers/writers Neil Goldman, Garret Donovan and Chris McKenna have departed, as well as directers/brothers, Anthony and Joe Russo. God knows else will leave.

I fear Community will never feel the same.

Wow, I remember reading about Donovan and Goldman but heard nothing about Mckenna and the Russos. If true, huge losses. Couldn't find anything, do you have the links?

It will still be a good show, but as people are saying it will probably lose all the subtle things that make it amazing. :(

I think I've done this wrong.

The best episode, in my humble opinion is Pillows and Blankets by a mile.

On terms of rewatchability? There are only a handful of episodes that boring after the 3rd viewing.

Unfortunately i can see this show as being the next My Name Is Earl. Incredibly original concept, amazing extended cast, hidden jokes, jokes you only catch on the 3rd viewing, misunderstood by the networks and now, quite possibly, cancelled long before it's time. I was devastated when Earl got canned, really hope Community gets a better deal.

It's so much better than My Name is Earl.
Community never did anything quite as preposterous as throwing their man character(s) in prison for half a season. I think that alienated a lot of fans (certainly me). If anything, it's closer to Arrested Development than 'Earl'*.

*At least according to everyone I've ever spoken on the Internet.
