Eh I just reckon it was one of those classic, clever, kind of quirky Community episodes. Not as brilliant as the paintball episodes for example, but I laughed quite a bit and the concept was fun. Liked the ending too. To fit 7 different timelines in a 21 minute episode and have it work is pretty great I reckon. You see this sort of episode in a cartoon, but in a sitcom it's pretty different (well at least for me, no idea if it's been done before).

Really good episode...much better than the previous one! :thumbsu:

I enjoyed the whole scene with Pierce
getting shot
, reminded me of the Final Destination movies so maybe it was intended as a bit of a parody?

Troy and Abed's new apartment!

Evil Troy and Evil Abed!

That was classic.

Probably have Advance Dungeons and Dragons slightly ahead. Gots to love the Troy timeline.

Also raises some questions about the group going forwards. i.e Jeff.

Watched it twice already, great ep, realised I completely missed the Encarta joke the first time around. Would be good to see more Evil Shirley compared to normal one.

Also, watch this ep, then go back and re-watch last week's ep, some things will make more sense. Suspect they've been played out of order.

"The pizza guy was super creepy."

"So you're saying he was a pizza guy." Jeff was in fine form this episode.

This was classic top quality Community, so good.

Edit: The bit with "googly eyes" and the head turning then the troll :D

The Greendale flag in the background.

Troy's Fad in the bathroom.

Pierce and his sex story.

Pierce getting shot and his blood squirting everywhere.

"Clearly you don't understand anything about defeating trolls."

Brilliant.

I saw on Twitter before people were going off their nut about the new ep, a complete circle-jerk. Expecting to be underwhelmed. If anything, overwhelmed.

It was just awesome.

Arguably this episode (maybe the finale of Breaking Bad too), is the watermark for contemporary television at the moment.

Emotion? Check.
Clever? Check.
Hilarious? Check.

The thing it did for me, is that it did the cynical snarky thing with the depressing timeline; Pierce's literal 'troll' and Jeff's eventual poetic vision of seeing the gang go nuts and have fun *without him*; yet found the counterbalance with Abed's speech when he caught the dice.

And it was f*cking hilarious.

Amazing.

Absolutely brilliant. That was Britta's best episode yet, and one of the great overall episodes. So many great moments in that one.

Kinda wish they'd stuck to like three timelines rather than doing all six. A great character development episode though.

Roooooooooooooooooxanne....

(Rewatching season 2 and the acting class episode, I'm a lot more comfortable with the Troy/Britta thing.)

Loved the ep, so much to see, so much to take in.

Feels like I could watch it 5-10 times over and still not get everything that was done.

I love timeline shows/movies, etc. so this really played to my loves. And did it in a way that Community is so damn good at.

"I'm gonna go really fast so as I don't miss anything"

*EVERYTHING HAPPENS!*

Just so damn good.

For those that might be wondering:
Last night’s Community featured seven different timelines based on the roll of a die. They led you to believe that the final timeline was the real one, but I don’t believe this to be true. Here’s why.

- The episode begins with a brief argument about whether Troy and Abed live in apartment 303 or 304. This episode was season three, episode four. What this hints at is that this episode takes place before the last one.

- In every timeline except Jeff’s (supposedly the real one), Pierce mentions that he had sex with Eartha Kitt in an airplane bathroom. He tells Omar in 303 that the members of the study group are the only ones he’s told about that event.

- Abed’s timeline is the only one in which Shirley finds out that Britta smokes pot. In 303, when Britta burns the list, Shirley says, “oh no! She’s got her marijuana lighter!”

- In Abed’s timeline, he finds a nickel. At the beginning of 303, he gives Pierce a coin to pay for the water fountain.

- This isn’t a proof, but from a storytelling perspective, Jeff and Annie kissing is the biggest event in any timeline (other than Pierce dying). Their relationship in 303 is alternately very friendly and extremely strained, which makes sense in a post-kitchen-make-out timeline.

I liked the latest episode but I really don't get the over-the-top love. I think I've grown a bit tired of Community.

Agree 100% about the over the top love for that ep. I may also be growing tired of community, but i'll see what else season 3 can produce. I get the same feeling for its always sunny as well.
