I really hope I'm wrong but I can see this show jumping the shark big time this season.

For the record, there was an episode of Happy Days where a guy literally jumped over a shark - and it was the BEST one!
Henry Winkler did it twice. The second time more subtle.
That's the point I'm making. Last season just about went off the rails when Harmon was in charge and now that he's gone I worry that the new team will just continue on with that sort of humour as if it was the best part of the show. All the promos I've seen just seem to re-enforce that view.Personally, I can't wait for everyone to start claiming that the show sucks just because Harmon left. Apparently, Britta being turned into nothing but an easy punchline who occasionally produces the odd slapstick laugh, Abed becoming kind of a dick, the Dean becoming more and more ridiculous, and there being a whole arc involving Chang overtaking the school with help from an army of ******* twelve year olds is fine, but NOW the show is gonna turn to shit. Sure...
For me, and I seem to be in the minority, the show did during the third season.I really hope I'm wrong but I can see this show jumping the shark big time this season.

It went from a quirky show that anyone could follow, to a strange show aimed at a particular audience, with far too many self-references and far fetched storylines.
Yes. I think a lot of people say it really kicks into gear after the Halloween episode (episode 7?).I think I'm 5 or so episodes into the first season. It's enjoyable and gets laughs from me but feels a little stilted or lacking something.
If I keep at it will I soon be slapping my thighs?

Middle of season 2 is when I stopped watching. Right after the Dinner with Andre/Pulp Fiction episode. Got a bit too wacky for me after that (even though obviously had wacky, outlandish episodes in season 1)
I just sub to this thread to make sure I keep up to date with any new Alison Brie pics and gifs![]()
