You'd imagine there's no movie without Troy, or no point of one anyway, and Glover is a busy, busy man these days. To that end, Gillian Jacobs is getting a lot of work too. Hard to think a movie will ever happen.

Glover has said that he will be releasing one more album, and that's it for his music career. He's working on an animated version of Deadpool for FX at the moment.

I saw Ali get her **** out twice early on. Does she get them out more as the season continues. If now. Shame.

Weird that he's giving up on his music. I mean he can do everything, a true artist and of course I dont know him at all but I always though his main thing and favourite thing was his music.

I thought he was gonna move away from acting more to concentrate on his music. But it looks to be the other way around.

Im hoping JLH gets them out soon as her career has completely stalled. But she's well past her prime now so they might not be great.

It's one of lifes great shames.
 
Been re-watching it again recently, just finished season 2.

On one one the Commentaries, Chevy Chase said the females on the show are better actors, but the men are better comics, I would agree with that.

Troy and Abed are one of the funniest bromance/double acts I have ever seen (that moment where Troy says he will be a bum living with Abed until Abed becomes a billionaire software developer and then will sue him, and gets high fived by Abed, is my favourite scene in the show)

Dean Pelton and Senor Chang are also great, Jim Rash is camp as a Christmas Tree on the show and it's hilarious.

The only shit character was that Duncan jerk. So annoying (Britta and Jeff had their irritating moments too)
 
Saw the first season or first season and a half. It was funny in my head but rarely made me laugh. Suspect a tremendous amount of the fanbase who "LOVE IT!" were 18-29 yos who would've quit the second Annie and Britta were written off.

The show went off the rails after Donald Glover and Chevy Chase left, Troy and Pierce were two of the most irreplaceable characters on the show.

John Oliver is hilarious, and every time I think of Duncan using his restraining order to mess with Chang it makes me smile.

Agreed, Pelton is one of the most glorious ham characters of all Time. Love the fact that he 'pretends' to have a Sister in order to ask for permission to wear 'her' Uncle Sam outfit 'tailored' for females.

Just watched the Annie and Britta oil fight episode again. Just glorious.

So while I'm happy it's finally getting the movie Abed promised, I don't think a Netflix film will do it justice.

They're just modern versions of the old made-for-television/straight to VHS films. Nothing new.
 
Considering Alison Brie was on Glow, Gillian Jacobs was on Love, and Joel McHale briefly had some The Soup-esque show, Netflix has been slowly courting most of the cast already. Seems like the perfect place for the movie.
 
Even if they got Chevy there’s not much to be done with a dead character haha.

What could bring the group back together? The Dean getting fired with Spreck taking control of the campus? Maybe the end is the Dean/the audience having to let go.
