2026 FJGD World Cup

As more teams start qualifying for the World Cup, it's time for the FJGD Board's rendition!
This time around, Aussie Rules kits will be used instead of the usual soccer kits.

I'm putting this forward now as when the current "What If" Wednesdays - TTSE competition finishes, it'll be close to when all WC qualifiers have finished and the 48 competing countries have been decided

Now, I know what you're thinking, "good luck getting 48 users to compete!"
Here are the possible outcomes to consider​

1. If we get 48 users, then we're all Gucci ​
2. If we get 32 users, the top 32 ranked teams out of the 48 will be used and we'll treat it like the old World Cup format​
3. If we get 24 users, each user will be given 2 teams to design for​
4. If we get 16 users, either we give each user 2 teams from the top 32 ranked OR the top 16 ranked and randomly generate a knockout bracket​

Now's the time for all you lurkers to have a crack at footy jumper designing or veterans to dust off the PS/AI icons again

Drafting teams will operate in a similar fashion to the 2018 version. Once this post gets 10 likes, there'll be a Hub Thread with updates, tables, results etc, and in there is where you put down your expression of interest.
When we have a grasp on how many users will be competing, I'll place the required amount of teams in a 'Wheel of names', users will be given a team from the wheel in order of the expressions of interest

Hope we can capitalize on such an event, gather a wave of old, current and new users to get together and make this competition one to remember!​
