Bring back the comp where the winner gets their custom design made!!
If you want to pay for it, go ahead and start it.
Volta, What Essee is trying to get at, is that those comps (Its happened twice) were run by Craegus on behalf of Teamworks Performance. When they believe it is the right time and have enough time/money to spare, they'll contact us again and run it...

The original one was not run by me, but as many know the Designathon V2.0 was, and was in conjunction with TWP (a coincidence allowed this to happen, and we were all thankful that it did).

I will consider contacting them when I decide to run V3, but that is still a way off. And also if they want to be a part of it again is completely up to them.

It would still cost the company to make them. Materials, time, electricity, workers wages etc.

Exactly, the company does it basically at a loss (even if they get the promotion from people seeing the designs with their logo, and I am sure many of us who have a TWP guernsey have spoken to others about the quality to others).

That is why there isn't an ongoing competition.

Though with that being said, they were offering to be very generous with the Designathon. I am not going to give out the information but it was a decent number. I chose to not take up the full offer as 1) the Designathon takes a lot of effort on my part (from checking emails, to saving and editing the images, to uploading and so on) and 10 events is enough each time it is run, and 2) I felt it was too many to give out and it would become more of an expectation than a reward.

Should I get the Designathon going again (which is likely, though probably next year), I am leaning towards contacting TWP again as it probably is a good competition to utilise the "Win a Guernsey" promotion (as the topics are both wide ranging and tend to not focus on actual teams, companies, etc).

The topics were great. They weren't too vague, and yet they weren't specific. I personally thank you for running it, and I don't think that that was said enough.

And also, designathon's are very rare. They can't be expected.

Yes, yes they are. I would love to do them more often but as I have said they are also very exhausting (The first one more than the second due to the custom avatars, but still a lot of work). Plus it takes time to come up with topics (the next one may have a general theme instead of different themes each event, with specific topics for each event).

Well thank you, but if it wasn't for the entries, there would be no designathon.

Bryce_Jersey17 I do like the idea of a flag workshop, but isn't it the same as Stormy's wavy texture tutorial?
The way I do my wavy flags/wavy backgrounds are using the same method.

Problem is, we've seen Freo's 20 years logo. So that rules out some designs that will be similar to their logo.

Their current logo with "20 Years" on a grey banner on top? Definitely needs a remake, it's uninspired and lacks that historical look

I don't mean those sort of flags, although it can incorporate those methods. I'm talking about a thread that's similar to the one I was created.

This one will be aimed at National flags and such. Like a redesign of the flag of Sydney City or the USA's flag. That sort of thing.

As for the Fremantle logo, what does that one look like? I don't think I've seen it...
