Home and Away/Clash plus logo, maybe heritage/special design (3 max).

Having more than that is just too much (aka I don't want to design that many designs for this).

Great idea! I like the sound of the special design.

Most heritage designs are plain and simple, the special design however, will bring our creative juices out.

Using a recycled designathon entry this is my idea for the NAFL logo.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Ok idea, but needs major cleaning up so that it will look good on all designs made in every program.

Either that or keep the original.

Or I could do a NAFL version of this logo set:

Doesn't matter too much, but I feel as though that is too similar to the old VFL logo for it to really fit the whole concept of NAFL.

I reckon it'd be better doing a logo with... an Emu and a Kangaroo or something (with a football (not the VFL football) in between them). Like something really Aussie - and what's more Aussie than the coat of arms?

I'd like and oval or shield design as they both suit a jumper the best.

Meant to be downsized so it doesn't look so rough (if that's what you mean?).

E92's logo should be fine, it doesn't need to be much more than that really. Maybe a little bit cleaner, but other than that, it does the job.

How it looks downsized:

edit: the above is about how big I'd like jumpers to be.

Yeah, the logo's edges need to be clean otherwise in pixel based programs it may not look that good when resized

Yes the logos were based on that, never said otherwise. However if you look closely there are some differences to the main shapes, they are subtle but are there (as I had to recreate them to make a decent size logo)

It looks ok but it feels a bit too simple (might be the font). Perhaps people put together some logo designs and we vote on the final one (also including the original one).

Fine with that.:thumbsu:

One thing I was thinking of doing differently to the original versions is to have the same teams each season (with allowed design changes in between), also to allow new teams the next season if others are interested in joining so it's basically like a virtual AFL.

Interested to hear other peoples thoughts on that.

Some of us did that if I remember correctly (I kept the Whales for the 2 seasons just with slight changes to the colours {changed the teal} and new guernsey designs).

Perhaps a relegation format, the bottom X teams are replaced after each season. Either with new designers or just new teams from the same designers if no-one else wants in. Or the relegated teams can have a design change and then enter a entry playoff against new entries to determine the new lineup.

This is what I think.

At the start we brainstorm a list of about 50 teams. These will be the official NAFL teams. Each person can choose a team, per season from the list, the same team can't be used twice in the same season, but can be used in other seasons.

Thoughts?

Yeah, but with this every team from the previous season will continue in the following season unless stated otherwise/confirmed by participants, current teams will also be allowed to do a rebrand and/or a relocation. At the end of the season the NAFL brain trust will look at new teams/teams that are doing very badly (wooden spooner, etc) and decide what to happen with them.

I don't know, it sounds kind of out there but I like the idea of the board having it's own virtual AFL.:p

If we're gonna kick around some ideas for a new NAFL logo, then I'll put this one on the table for consideration:

Not much conceptually, but it looks ok at least.

Maybe the logo for NAFL could be the LOTF?

And nice logo team wolf, I like it very much !

How exactly does this work? This is what I think ( Correct me if I'm wrong )
Each person makes a home, away, clash, and logo for a fictional team they created, which has to be based off a real place in Aus. Then two teams face off against each other in a match, which is based on the better jumper, example: Melbourne Rabbits V Sydney Dogs, and people vote on Melbournes Home Vs Sydneys Away/Clash in a poll and then how ever has the highest votes gets 4 points on the ladder. There are several rounds then the top 8 teams or something play finals, the way AFL works, right? One question: Does everyone get their own team or is it like 2 people on a team or something, like they help each other in making the jumpers
