That's because it probably was, for that time and era, it looks good.
But it's not that time and era. It needs to step in to the current day and age, whether or not it causes outrage.
EDIT: Cheers Mitch :$

An update could only be a good thing.

They aren't of Test quality, so I don't see the need.

Here's for anyone who CBS searching the Bangladesh cricket logo

Very not good.

They aren't of Test quality, so I don't see the need.

In the past 12 months they have ODI series wins against Pakistan, India and South Africa, and made the quarter finals of the World Cup, beating England along the way.

Give them some time and the test results will come along.

This might sound crap but I was thinking as Greater Gattsby was knocked out sadly that the FIRA could have a sister comp called the Euro League which is similar to the UCL and EL in real life. The rejected (knocked out) entries from FIRA could compete in this comp and whoever wins has secured promotion to the FIRA with the Cup acting as a seeded draw for other teams for the next year?

FIRA isn't a promotion/relegation thing,
The UCL isn't a promotion relegation as well. The winner of the Europa league has a spot in the main comp with the winner so that's 2 teams. The rest fight for the comp via qualifiers (the cup). Only one team goes up.

Ah, right.

I could only see the 2nd tier thing working now just to not let a bunch of entries go to waste, which is why I suggested in the hub thread that next time the entries only consist of home strips until the qualifiers are decided.

Aside from that, I don't really see why the winning 2nd tier team should be guarenteed a place over, say, the 2nd or 3rd placed FIRA team.

The Cup winner, maybe.

It depends if we all put in a valid reason to what spots should go where, I can see this working.

FIRA isn't a promotion/relegation thing, AFAIK the qualifier format will run again next season.

The winner from last season scraped in as the 11th team out of 12 to qualify. Nobody is guaranteed a spot, not even me. The qualifying system will be a part of FIRA for as long as I run it and there is interest. The league is supposed to be deliberately exclusive and making the league should be considered an honour, especially with some of the teams that just missed out.

As for a reserves league, it's not really what I want for FIRA. That's what the cup competition is for, and everyone who entered is still alive in that competition.

Hi folks. Not sure if you've had a comp for this idea before: jumpers for local council/shire areas. Could include elements such as council colours, logos (traditional & modern), local landmarks, historical references, area vibe! Rough examples for Adelaide City Council:

Australian Flag Competition.

Original artwork only. Meaning you have to draw your own Southern Cross, if you want.

But here's the interesting part. When the poll comes up, we'll do something Australian.

We will have - get this - a preferential voting system.

It'll be public. Everyone in the thread will vote for their top 5 by posting.

Voting for someone as your #1 would give them 5 point s.
#2 would give 4.
#3 would give 3.
#4 would give 2.
#5 would give 1.

Most votes wins.

Isn't preferential voting the system used for voting for MP's, etc. The way you've described is not the preferential voting system.
Focus on the positives here

If you rank based on order of preference, it's preferential voting. You're thinking of instant run-off voting
