Mod. Notice Competitions: READ BEFORE POSTING A COMPETITION

The Europeanisation competition is perfect for this though, seeing as the FIRA competition is European. ;)
I disagree.

Firstly, there's only 2 more Europeanisation competitions after the St Kilda. Also, it doesn't hurt for others to learn different ways to make a logo, rather than the traditional ones likely to be seen FIRA. Creativity in jumper designs has improved ten fold recently and Logos should be the next stage of improvement.

True... the more quality competitions, the better. :)

The Essendon LogoOTW was my favourite. So much quality. First crack I ever had at vector drawing too.

I think Essendon would do well to buy the right's to ScottFreo's because it's genius.

I'm still unfamiliar around the Graphic Design board in regards to what comps have been done in the past.

You know how there is the European-style AFL logo design comp? I'm just wondering is there a thread or possible comp for creating AFL type jumpers for Association Soccer clubs? I've been working a few designs just for the hell of it because Uni sucks

Do a portfolio, it's the best way to recieve feedback.

Can some of the talented individuals here design one off strips for the inaugurual Gay Pride game (St Kilda v Sydney)? Brief is that the Saints should incorporate a rainbow design and the Swans pink elements...

But pink isn't associated with Gay Pride or other rainbow initiatives. Purple is the singular colour that tends to be used if not the rainbow (the purple represents pride, in the rainbow flag).

Made a few templates myself. But where do we post them?

Yeah I suppose but at the same time, using pink is actually a shitty move and implies it is a "gay" colour. Pink is for breast cancer- stick to the rainbow for LGBTIAQ+ stuff.

Looking at running a competition for a new banner/logo for a trade game site I'm part of.

That cool?

I'd be down.

Not sure if this has been suggested before but...

Speed Run!

Set a date and time. For example, Friday the 13th at 6pm.

At that time, a design brief is given.

Contestants then have x amount of time (60 minutes?) to create a logo/uniform/etc.

Then we do a poll.

Only if competition is held at 3:00am on Sunday mornings.

The beer factor would be plentiful on 2 contestants.

Hey fam

So, with Can-Am nearing it's completion, FIRA having finished a while back, the NAFL running business as usual but ANAL apparently in limbo (what's happening there, Fizzler, Stewart2Austin, NM_Mitchell and The Half Back?), I thought I'd bring back up that FJGD Champions League idea floated a while back and volunteer to organise it, assuming no one else called dibs .

Here's my proposed structure:
  • Premiers from the last completed season of NAFL (Hobart Hornets), Can-Am (TBD), FIRA (Valletta Pride) and ANAL (TBD).
  • Round-robin format mirroring the UEFA CL Group Stage.
  • Top two from the round-robin will play off in a best-of-three final. Higher placed team gets first choice of uniform for games 1 and 3 (if required).
  • Teams will use the same designs from the season in which they were crowned premiers.

Of course, there is still lots to work out (participants, league logo, allowing different templates, a logo round, prizes, what to do with reserves premiers etc.), so this won't get started for a month or two at best.

But if the board doesn't want me to go it alone, I'm also open to having an organising committee made up of some senior members of the board to write the regulations and ensure we have the best possibly run Champions League.

Over to you, FJGD.

All well and good, but I doubt that ANAL will be finished.

I don't see the ANAL going past this season.
At least not with who ran it before THB and I, and I'm definitely not running a league comp again after this.
All well and good, but I doubt that ANAL will be finished.
working on it.

Oh yeah that reminds me.

To make up for being a shit competition runner, the winner of ANAL will get their team's guernsey made up for them. Like designathon. My shout.

Europa League for reserve winners and Top flight runner ups?

Would the reserves be part of this?

Europa League for reserve winners and Top flight runner ups?
Possible. Could also have them in a qualifying round for a place or two in the CL.

Mitch said that he needs Seouls design so I will send it to him. NM_Mitchell do t let a comp that I turned shit deter you from running another one. I think that we should just let the ladder leader take the premiership. Thoughts?
