Out of courtesy to others who may have found a bargain, we as a board ask if you could not post live auctions until the bidding on that particular item has finished. An exception to this rule would be if you were inquiring about how genuine a particular guernsey is. Cheers :)

I'm for having the one thread where we can post a great find of a rare guernsey on eBay, so here it is.

Starting us off with a much loved Hawks Heritage guernsey - what a beauty :thumbsu:

If anybody could find the 2010 Collingwood and Essendon clash jumpers it'd be much appreciated. I'd like to try and get a bid in.

Re: AFL Guernseys on eBay

I think I have one of those guernseys in my wardrobe somewhere...

Re: AFL Guernseys on eBay

yeah, ill get flamed. but on other footy forums i attend we dont post active ebay auctions as it hinders other peoples chances.

IE: someone finds a jumper in Antiques. goood on them for the find. promoting it takes away there chance at this rare find for example.

weve agreed to only post once the auctions done. but up to you i spose

Sounds like a fair idea :thumbsu:
Gives everyone a good shot at winning. I know that's the path I'll be following from now on, but just a question, how do you search for items that have already been completed?

Re: AFL Guernseys on eBay

This is what I could have done, but refused to do.
This seller has purchased a White jumper with a Red Vee and trimmings and then bought a VFL logo and sewed them on.
I`d be very careful about this one.

Had a look through their other stuff, looks a lot like someone making copies of stuff, then selling them as `second hand-but nearly new`.
Could be wrong, but I don`t think I am on the footy jumper.

I reckon you are right on that one Mero.

Look at the Sekem tag on it. It's of much more recent vintage than the guernsey is purporting to be.

Then there's this one....

Now this one could be one that was made to be worn by a player, the badging suggests this (replicas had a more rounded VFL shield than the real deal 99% of the time).

But it was never EVER worn in a game by Bruce Nankervis. The dead give away is the black numbers, which we never wore in the 80's.

This one, on the other hand, is the real deal....

I had a crack at it and got sniped right at the end :(

On the subject of heritage guernseys, heres a couple of Geelong ones from last week....

An 04 Essendon one I saw and cannot find also sold for $142

Re: AFL Guernseys on eBay

This is not a Victorian training jumper, it is a Vic Country representative jumper. Would be extremely rare.

Re: AFL Guernseys on eBay

I'd love to get my hands on a Brisbane Bears V jumper. Their last one before they merged. I've just come back from watching footy in Brisbane and one of the pubs had a framed one signed by Michael Voss. Looked awesome.
