Its def not a josh kennedy like he said either because sydney swapped from puma to isc in 2009 so if it is a PI it is a nick fosdike. im still happy wether its prototype or not. 50 bucks is cheap

Your right cuz and both your 12s would defiantly be player issues because pumas prototypes always have a noticeable difference from the final product. As this is the case with the Sydney guernsey the afl logo in the number is black but reversed to what they used on their actual jumper. Prototypes are great anyway and in most cases are a lot rarer than regular PIs
Not necessarily. Prototypes/samples can be exactly the same as a player issue, they don't have to have noticeable differences.

I've noticed with Puma apart from number 12 they also use 24 and 23. With the amount of 23 and 24 size Medium training and home/away guernseys popping up (obviously from the Puma factory store in Moorabbin) it seems Puma have changed up the sample number. If it's size M and number 12, 23 or 24 it's more than likely a sample/prototype. Very few AFL players would fit into a size medium Puma guernsey.

Chris who said:
I have a clash 2010 Eagles with that black number bought from the same seller.
Changed your tune eh?

The thing that draws me to player issues is the fact that it could have been worn by the player if things were different. The prototypes are just jumpers that should of been destroyed
As for collectability, personally i couldnt give a stuff about "prototypes" should be called f*ck ups. IMO

I honestly can not see the difference. Your jumpers you own that you call " player issues" some were never even worn or touched by the player.
My #5 2011 home wce jumper is apparently a player issue. I know ebert
1 never played in it
2 never touched it
Its a term used to describe the difference between a retail & a jumper desigined to be worn in a match imo.

Anyways most people who support there club would be happy just to own one
You think of it. Last year in the eagles shop there at max 20 "players" jumpers for sale. Compared to 100's of retails. They only make up a small % of eagles jumpers out there. Hence why they are still so hard to get #12 or #99 just give me 1 that fits!

I'm confident the Heritage #12 came from WCE.

But,I'm fairly sure my number #12 training was originally purchased by the seller at the Puma outlet, so it is a proto/sample with no differences.

However what if Jamie Mcnamara is a size medium, his player issue #12 is not going to be any different to that of this proto/early released #12.

Therefore identical in all aspects of JM's Player jumper (except maybe it never made it to the club). What's your thoughts on that?

Player issue = made for the player. Doesn't matter if he sees it or not.

Prototype/sample = all the attributes of a player issue but not made for the player.

I also agree the Heritage is a player issue. That is the older cut and size M in that cut is a bit like an L in the new cut.

The new mediums (2007 onwards) are SMALL. I find it very hard to see many AFL players fitting them.

If JM wore an M then we'd never know the true story of each individual guernsey and you'd defer to benefit of the doubt and call any number 12 guernsey a player issue.

It's not my 'view', it's a statement of fact. A definition.

Whether you regard samples as less worth or not as collectable than player issues is a view.

Ok kool now i get it. Sorry

My ebert jumper is a player issue. Made by puma for him.
He was never issued to him but was made for him personally.

So im guessing just a huge ball park guess . 44 player x 22 round + nab cup + players wearing different jumpers + styles. At a guess there would be about mabye 300 player issues sent to west coast each year?

How many proto's would be made each year? If #12 was like priddis it would be kool but # 12 being no one this year probly makes it odd.

Something suss - four jumpers went for pretty big prices. All were won by the same buyer.

Looking at their bids, 100% of their bids in the last month have gone to the one seller. Including one item in category Cars, Bikes, Boats > Exterior

Two items (Hawthorn and Richmond guernseys) ended yesterday (Saturday) morning but buyer has already left positive feedback for these guernseys saying 'great fast postage' by Sunday afternoon.

The buyer also bid on this car bra, two minutes before the auction was due to end, but AFTER someone had already bid, effectively driving the price up of the item.

It definitely looks like a shilling account.
The funny thing about the Hawks heritage going for that price is that one went for $61 a few months ago and there was a discussion about replicas not going over their RRP in future years.

Yeah, looks like some legit >$200 bids in there. I like my Hawthorn heritage, but if they're fetching those prices, I'd seriously consider selling mine.

Fantastic sleuthing, FXD. I never look into that stuff...

Was gonna post this aswell but thought better of it. Must really think that the WCE guernsey will sell by applying the SGIO sponsorship and not bothering about sponsors for the other guernseys.

The Richmond guernsey is way more lol worthy, the sash is the wrong way round.
Also the doggies jumper is missing the white hoop.
