OMG your lowest averaging defender is 105ppg I can't remember in recent memory anyone having all 6 defs averaging that high. It really is a thing of beauty.

Bench depth look a bit thin apart from Boak/Ahern though..how many trades left?

Pretty happy with this team on-field as it has everyone I wanted from start of year, plus some good breakouts this year.

Main weaknesses but also PODs compared to the top end of the rankings are Dusty and MCrouch. Hoping at least one of these guns can get their shit together and give me a decent score this round.

Off-field is a shitshow with no bench cover to speak of. 150k in the kitty for injury sideways trades (5 left), and Guelfi is break in case of emergency for more cash.

Looking back at my starting squad I had 16 premo "candidates", and spent many sideways trades that did not actually increase my premo count but purged a bunch of shit shit or injuries or both:

R2: Rocky -> Acres (why did I stsrt this prick)
R3: MCrouch -> Simpson (good trade)
R4: Treloar -> Titch (lol noob)
R4: Lobb -> Luke Ryan (best trade)
R5: Billings -> JOM (going backwards seemingly but come on what a turd...)
R6: Goldy -> Nic Nait (turd #2)
R7: JOM -> Danger (that didn't last long!)
R9: Acres -> Oliver
R12: Cogs -> Hurley (one round before his bye. So genius...)
R15: Nic Nait -> Grundy

So that is 10 trades just shuffling premos around.

From R8 I started breaking up my sideways bonanza with actual upgrades:
LFog -> MCrouch (back in...)
TKelly + Finlay -> Dusty + Buddy (felt amazing at the time...)
Murray -> Yeo (one round before Yeo's bye)
Fritsch -> Gray
Holman -> JKelly

Conclusion: sideways for life. Currently ranked just higher than my best ever finish so hopefully I can stay the course or rise a bit.

Yeah I wouldn’t want to rely on my bench, but at least I have plenty of loopholes to use Boak as a swinging extra and to open plenty of VC/C options.

If you look at the difference between most teams in the top 10 it’s only a handful of players, so things like nailing your captain are vital at this stage.

As for trades, I have enough up my sleeve to cover a few injuries and potentially look at bringing in a POD or 2 later in the season.
