Thought I'd start a thread for people to share their favourite concerts they have been to, or concerts they are going to, etc.
My favourite concert was this year in January seeing Mastodon at the Palace (I love this venue as well) and another great one was Dillenger escape Plan when they played at Soundwave a year or so ago. Special mention goes to any Living end show as they rock my socks off everytime.

WoooooW what a great thread!!!!

I will be flooding these pages with my Taylor experience over the next few days:):):):):)

First Concert Guns n Roses, Calder Park 1993, aged 15, thank god 4 liberal parents!!!!!

Best Shows ever were, Gunners in 2007 Rod Laver, if u wernt there dont critisize cause it was amazing!!! Metallica in 94 Rod Laver awesome! and The Fratellis and The Music at QBH last year went OOOFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!

Haha, Axel, I was at Calder too, the show I call the "dust bowl" or the "dust riot".

It was a great show though, just before the Gunners fell of the edge of the world.:o

My favourite recent concert though has to be Iron Maiden at Rod Laver about 2 years ago.

For a band that had been such a "niche" metal band for so long, they were so glad to be playing in front of stadium crowds, that you could feel the passion and excitement in every song they performed.

And to say I saw "Fear of the Dark" live is something I will go to my grave with quite happily, even if they never return here.:o:D

One of my special concerts that I can actually say I saw, that very few did was Nirvana at the Palace (92 if I remember correctly), although the concert from memory was nothing out of the ordinary, to say that I saw the great Nirvana live is something I am immensely proud and privileged to be able to say.:):thumbsu:

I've always been a fairly "mainstream" Metal and Rock fan, so most of my concert experiences aren't that unique as such, but I'm ok with that.:thumbsu:

I'm seeing the American alt rock back 'Spoon' on Friday. Should be great, they're a really consistantly good band.

Best concert I've been to was possibly Live at Rod Laver for their Secret Samadhi tour, although they went rapidly downhill after that and became a preachy, annoying bore (Distance to Here was a decent album, I never bought any of the crap that followed).

Other favourites include Coldplay, Radiohead, Foo Fighters (unfortunately at Festival Hall), R.E.M. (@ Myer Music Bowl), Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chilli Peppers (Telstra Dome, not recommended venue), Muse, Travis (at the Palais, wonderful gig and venue), Def Leppard (don't laugh), Garbage... and quite a few others. :)

I know what you mean, I saw Pixies there last month and whilst I had a sweet time I was annoyed it was at Festival Hall. I'll be glad if I never go there again.

Any Living end gig is amazing.... Saw them at QBH 2 years ago, and they were really tight. Muse are brilliant live, the 2 times ive seen them at big day out and then at rod laver couple of years back probably the best live band ive seen. Foo Fighters at Rod Laver! You cant go wrong! Everlong went off! Queens of the stone age are always good no matter where you see them..... Them Crooked Vultures, woooowwwwweeeee!!!

Seen Tool a few times, they're right up there. The Tea Party @ the Palais in 1999 was probably the best gig I've seen though. QOTSA at The Palace in around 2003 (?) were awesome too.
