Chelsea should be winning that comp in their sleep.
If they do, it makes it interesting for next season's European qualifications. Winners of the Conference League get into next season's Europa League. Chances are that Chelsea will have already qualified for Champions League or Europa based on their league position. So it gives an English extra league position for Europa. Winners of the League Cup between Liverpool and Newcastle might have already qualified so it drops down again. If City or Villa win the FA Cup then it drops down again. It could be that 8th is good enough for a Europa place and 9th for Conference.

Now I dont watch much of the Polish League so Ill be interested what kind of style Legia Warsaw play against Chelsea tonight in the 1st leg.
Watch a fair bit of soccer but I havent heard too many of these Legia Warsaw players.
Would be interested to know what Legia Warsaw would be the equivalent in the English league ladder. eg Championship, League One....

Nice to see George get his first Chelsea goal.

Madueke much more clinical than Cole Palmer up front. Palmer was subbed off at the start of the 2nd half, and the contrasts between the two in performance was considerable.

Much better second half to kill the tie. Sancho and Noni tearing it up. Allows us to play some depth next game.

Madueke looked far more sharper than Cole Palmer. It was a decision that reaped immediate rewards for the Chelsea coach. Is it me or Cole Palmer look a tad flat this season?

I thought it was a brave decision at the time of Maresca to replace his main player at half -time . It was a statement . At the time I didn’t really understand why he did it. But the comparisons in terms of performance between the starters tonight Nkunku and Cole Palmer and the subs were far different.
More timid coaches like Van Nistelrooy would have kept their main players on for longer.

Not really a statement, we've tried to keep a few fresh for Sunday night. I'm surprised he started or played at all.

I rate Cole Palmers performance in the first half about a 5.5/10.
Maresca clearly wasn't happy with his performance.
