Bloke on Facebook is giving shit to me and a friend for wanting to get heinous once exams are done, hes just the type too, highly religious, judges everyone around him, just cos he's having no fun.Exactly. You dont have to be drinking to do fun shit with your mates. If people ask me if I want a drink, I just say "nah, im alright". Dont make a big hoo-ha about it, telling my life story on why I dont drink.
Anyway, it all spawns from a bit of a shit childhood caused by alcohol, but that it a tale I would rather not share with GD

Yeah, im not one of those guys. I expected my friends to do that after exams, and I didnt have a problem with it. They drink, people drink to celebrate, makes perfect sense to me.

Yeah, I have had that happen a few times to me. I just say im fine not drinking. But then if they just keep going (if they are drunk) it gets a bit frustrating/annoying.

So much misinformation out there that it's really not worth arguing.
The problem isn't the with the console (although Wii does have a disproportionate amount of crap) but with the player. If you know how to buy quality games and avoid the crap there's easily well over a year's worth of quality gaming to be had on the console. Hell, depending on how often you play, certain games can last you well over two months.
As I said, there's more quality on the PS3/360. Uncharted 1 and 2 are worth the price of a PS3 alone. Currently playing Final Fantasy 13 and am very excited about my copy of Valkyria Chronicles waiting to be played.
But there's more than enough good games on the Wii to satisfy the majority of gamers. Pity people have no idea and don't research games, then bemoan the console for their ignorance.
Oh, and the Wii 'fad' has had Sony and Microsoft release their own motion control in Move and Kinect. Nintendo's biggest mistake was the lack of HD on the console, as gamers in general are wowed by great consoles and it's too weak to allow for ports from other consoles. Not that they're complaining as it's undoubtedly been the most successful console this generation.
What are you talking about? Wii don't make games any more than IPod makes apps. It's the name of a console, FFS. Nintendo make Wii but not Fifa. EA makes Fifa and pockets the cash.
If you want a decent soccer game for the Wii, get Pro Evolution. Lacks the polish of the PS3/Xbox versions but the gameplay is a unique take on the sport that actually makes good use of the controller. Takes a while to get used to but once you do it's worth it.

I owned eyetoy on ps2, and I remember calling it like 4 months before the release of the Wii. No one believed me, they all said it was a ridiculous comparison. YOU WERE ALL WRONG AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA..
I never really got any vindication though, as people really did just ignore me when i said it would be crap, and hence didn't remember when i claimed that i had called it

You'd be wrong. The Wii has sold over 70 million units - PS3 and 360 somewhere about 40 million each. One of the most successful consoles of all time in terms of sales.
Sony's come out with Move which is essentially a copy of the Wii's motion control. Microsoft with Kinect which is their answer to it.
While there's a huge amount of crap, there's also a fair bit of quality too. Unfortunately most of that quality's come from Nintendo themselves but it's there.

That was precisely my point. Much like Apple (the company) makes the apps, not Ipod (which is the product), Nintendo makes the games, not Wii (again a product).

Nothing wrong with having a wii, I have a Wii. As long as you don't sit at home playing Wii by yourself it is ok.
