One of our best bargain recruits in recent years. I always thought he was unfairly maligned in Sydney - I’d seen him play some excellent games (funnily enough often against the Hawks) and their slow, congested, kick-it-to-Buddy gameplan and the cramped confines of the SCG never really suited Rohan’s best attributes.

His ability to create a contest even when one of his position, his overhead marking ability, his speed and pressure and his accurate goalkicking are all huge for us.

He will never be anywhere near AA selection but if he continues to average 2 goals a week while putting fear into defenders he is worth every cent we are paying him.

Let's face it, if he keeps this form going, he's worth appreciably more than we are paying him at the moment.

Between 40-50 goals for the year would be an incredible achievement. And a massive bonus for us, considering he is also providing the pressure we have been sorely missing in massive quantities.

Yeah I think 30 plus with the added pressure and bringing ball to ground would be a big win...and basically justify replacing Menzel with Rohan (especially given the former's injury plagued seasons). I loved Menz but it was the constant groin problems if anything, that ended up tipping the balance where he just had no mobility at all. Plus early on in his return he flew and took great marks. That faded out of his game. Yes he could still shark a few goals but his last great run was start of last year, with the saga that followed it stamping his papers.

I was sceptical about Rohan but he fits the new look set up and if he remains a dead eye set shot specialist is also a decent foil for Hawkins as an added bonus.

Seeing him up close at the JLT over here I was surprised how tall and powerful he is - his acceleration is off the charts.
Love the way he competes in the air and his appetite to apply pressure , also like his smarts in close where he blocks for teammates.
We've recruited a true footballer as well , complete with footy smarts and skills.
Seems to have fitted in very well and is enjoying his footy , great pickup going at over 2 goals per game :thumbsu:

Inspired pick up at this point. Can play genuine tall due to how good he is in the air and one on one and also very good when the ball hits deck and works his but off leading up and down the ground all day. One of our most important this year already.

In 2016 He kicked 25 goals 16 from 18 games

2017 he kicked 22 goals 10 from 16 games

2019 he’s kicked 11 goals 2 from 5 games
Baring injury and his few low games which we all expect but may not happen if we can get 30+ goals out of him he’s been a massive inclusion on our season.
Not many people would have expected 30+ goals from Rohan, myself included.

I always suspected that Longmire's game plan did no favours to Gaz and i'm not surprised that a coach who knows how to organise a forward line and utilise him properly is getting the best out of him.

I'm happy for him, but also a little bit jelly

Yep it didn't. Buddy centric and at times terrible ball movement. We haven't always been great either but last couple of years Swans could be dead set atrocious. Not as much space at SCG either.
