Unless something changes in the next three hours, all I can think is that we're not actually going to elevate Clarke at the National Draft. I really can't believe that we're going to pass on pick 34.

Maybe as part of this three year contract he's signed, we've committed to elevating him at the end of 2014?

Clarke's already been elevated as of the first list lodgement.

We delisted Banfield, with the intention to re-draft him as a rookie.

I can only assume we should say "good on him for sticking around".
I would think the alternative was to dump him and pay him out, leaving him with not so many options.
At least he gets to stick around with the long term view of regaining his spot.

If he is contracted I believe he will still be on the same money.

He was shopped around last year and this year, so should have been expected.

Guess we could've delisted him and paid out his contract anyway, so this way he stays on a list?
I've updated the OP.

We'll take 6 picks in the main draft = 7, 22, 25, 28, 33, 34;
and 4 picks in the rookie draft = Banfield, 2 category A and 1 category B rookies

Interesting that it was Banners chosen over someone like Wearden. Delisting a known quantity over an unknown one. They must see Wearden as getting some game time in the seniors this year. He also plays in a position that we are lacking in.
